Valencia To Take Legal Action Against Lazio Over Mendieta

07/04/2002. Valencia have announced that they are to take Lazio to court over the missing 12 million euros that they are still owed for Gaizka Mendieta.
The Spaniards have received the first instalment of the transfer fee, but the second, due in June, is late.
"We have taken legal action to get what's owed to us," said a Valencia spokeman.
"They told us that they are studying increasing their share capital and that we would be paid from that money."
Valencia have also blasted the Biancocelesti's attempts to sign Kily Gonzalez.
"It seems they are trying to trick us into lowering Kily's price," said the spokesman.
"He is a great player and it would be fine for him to end up staying with us."
