The USA could be a really tough game for us. If we play anything like we did against Finland i can see them beating us and possibly win the group as well. We will have to watch them very carefully when the two teams meat at the world cup.
Don't believe evrything you hear. It was a very poorly played game by both teams, neither of whom were at full strength. Fortunately for the US, they will have much better players to rely upon come June. As for last night, they looked completely disorganized in the first half, with some improvement in the second. The goal was very fluky; otherwise, they are looking at a scoreless draw.Tinto said:Once again, the U.S. has given me cause for worry. Not because they played so well, but because of their competitive spirit. I have a business acquaintance in Denver who was at the game, and he sent me a summary.
These guys apparently played like their lives depended on it, charging around the field like rabid dogs. They didn't have much possession, and the single goal they scored was kind of fluky, (Mexican goalkeeper collides with his own defence, drops ball to Mathis' feet!), but sounds like the play a very fast physical game. Mexico 0, U.S. 1.
