I've notice that many people when it comes to history only remembers Van Basten or Maradona, history is much vasted no? well the introduction goes to make a point: Why on hell nobody respects Uruguayan football?, his history is amazing and I heard a lot of England, or Argentina, or Brazil or whatever domination on football on the early era and the truth is that this tiny little country was the King and still produce players like Chevanton that are like ghosts, nobody mention him, ...so for once I want to salute the great Uruguay!!

:howler:

Uruguay does have a rich history but the reason is disrespected today is their recent history, they are no longer a power.

One of the best books I have read about football, was written by the Uruguayan Eduardo Galeano :)

One last thing about Uruguay, who coul dever forget Homer Simpson standing in front of a globe pointing to Uruguay and asying " Hey look, this country is called, U R Gay" :D
