DDR Ram = Double Data Ram
SDRam = Single Data Ram
There's also another kind which I have completely forgotten, however looking at above - its easy to tell that DDR Ram is better cause it offers more, probably the most common as well. (Someone else can fill you in with the technicalities :smileani: )

I don't think you can mix the two/three RAM types on the same computer.

Windows won't show you the full details of your current RAM (I think it only shows you how much ram you have in total)- so you're going to need to enter BIOS in-order to check out what type of RAM you currently have.
All different Motherboards have different BIOS interfaces, so its hard to explain this, however if you have your motherboard instruction booklet - it will help a lot.
When you enter BIOS - Scan around and try and find details about your memory slots, it should show you what type of memory they are.
Make sure you don't change any settings unless you're totally sure.

Thanks 8 I think I know where my BIOS thing is!
Any Time ;)

Your pc should tell you during the startup - which key to press to enter it, for ex. Press Delete To Enter BIOS, however if you have trouble entering BIOS - it may be another key you have to press, such as F2.
