Romagnoli got injured. I think Bernardeschi too.
Italy (probable): Donnarumma; Florenzi, Bonucci, Chiellini, Biraghi; Barella, Jorginho, Verratti; Chiesa, Immobile, Insigne
Portugal (probable): Rui Patricio; Cancelo, Fonte, Ruben Dias, Mario Rui; Ruben Neves, William Carvalho, Bernardo Silva; Pizzi, Andre Silva, Bruma

Bernardeschi got arrested and Bonucci got stoned. Verratti is actually made out of stone as he looks like a greek statue.

Italy held Portugal to a 0:0 draw at San Siro and it was an accurate reflection of the game.
Virtually nothing has changed from the defeat to Sweden a year ago.

Actually a lot has changed if you care to admit it, starting with Italy's call ups and integration of youth. Too much tiki taki tonight and not enough direct calcio. Italy well out-possessed Portugal and Immobile should have buried at least two, but Mancini's squad didn't have a clinical #9 bomber to finish.

First half was good performance considering they played with 10. Tired second half. The crowd got quiet and intensity dropped.
Targetman is a real problem for Italy.
Immobile is just useless for Italy. This is his 4th different coach. (Prandelli, Conte, Ventura). And his still useless.

don't know why he keeps getting called and played... why not take cutrone, the guy has balls and scores for milan anytime he plays

Cutrone is just another Immobile. Mancini should try Pavoletti, who is very strong in the air. The best Italian teams always had that kind of forward.

Yes, there was some good attacking play in the first half, but Immobile did only had one real clear chance.
I still think this team is nothing special.

individually it is nothing special, but it plays with more cohesion than before so a "team" performance is still possible
