if we dont lost tonight we will go through i think......

if we score first then we are in a great position, coz losing 2-1 would still mean we can go thru winning 1-0 at home....

the key question is how we react if they score first, and am sure they will score today, do you remain caution and lose 1-0 or attack and risk going 2-0 down which means its over...very tricky situation for the players and needs mental toughness....

so far its 1-1 and 0-0 against them this season so both teams have no fear.....

mind you something tells me liverpool will get a big big refreeing decision tonite, so might as well write my outraged reponse now:

"so two phony sending offs against inter in both games, two controversial penalty decisions for and against versus arsenal, and now this?! are you fouking kiddin me?! just give the cup already to this skum of a team then and lets get it over with.....its not enuff the ghost goal and now this....oh well, we can still fight for the league....."

makelele also shares the blame for such clown clearing up .......

we should do more with our possesion...why is molouda started everytime, ineffective then taken off? is grant this ignorant? send kalou in for gods sake...

drogba should stop taking freekicks for gods sake....

anyway even 1-0 down i would feel okayish about...but we should give this much much more of a go than this...

our tactics are disgraceful, long ball to drogba who has no chelsea player at least 20 yards near him.......we are showing too much respect and playin like sitting ducks....

send kalou and anelka.....

thanks riise and kalou :pp

as i said pre-match i was certain they will score, and part of me would have been happy taking 1-0 down, 1-1 is more than we deserved...i didnt like our tactics today, drogba was totally lost with no support all game, joe cole too, lampard dodgy etc...we are much better than this (we played better than this in anfield, whether the 4-1 win or even when we lost for the ghost goal....)...anyway now its IN OUR HANDS, totally...shut up shop for 0-0 ur thru.....

3 points:

1- Kalou must start, what the fouck is grant's fetish on molouda? played 90 mints against fenerbache and we lost, today didnt create much and too ages to shoot when he had all the space on the left.....

2- Carvalho is in my eyes up there with the best if not the best in the world, saved terry's blushes a few times....

3- paulo ferrira deserves a pat on the back, always given stick but rarely actually cost us a game, today did the job against babel and was solid...

essien should replace makelele or lampard, both didnt convince me, and keep paulo right back in the next game, kalou for malouda, joe cole at home and in counter attacks a tasty propostion...

now players can face man utd with a smile on their face

Are your lot going to give Grant some credit for his substitution of Kalou for Cole? It was his cross that caused the own goal. Very good cross too.

i dont understand this line of reasoning, so i choose alex-ben haim to start the game, then i send carvalho in after 70 mints of watching my mistake and doing nothing, our defence improves because of that sub, and i take credit? just dont understand that .... molouda should not have started but rather kalou, we all know that...why grant doesnt change that having seen the 1st leg against fenerbache is beyond me.....

Kalou should not start an away match against a team such as Liverpool. Away at Liverpool, he's not the kind of player you need out there. But as a sub he makes a huge impact. Great tactical approach to the game by Grant. 2nd Leg should see Kalou start

GREAT TACTICAL APPROACH? mate we had what 1 shot at goal?? whats wrong with u watched a different game, GREAT TACTICAL APPROACH! good god......kalou, probably our most pacey forward, is not right for an away game when we are targeting counter attacks to nick an away goal? the best dribbler up there who can win us freekicks? so whats the alternative leave drogba isolated like today? besides why is molouda given a first 11 spot? how many games did he play this season? how many goals? how well is his form?.....

if today is a great lesson from grant in tactics in your eyes then i guess we would have to take us being drubbed 5-0 to admit he may have made a mistake!

and can u explain to me taking ballack off for anelka with 5 mints to go and keeping molouda on? or lampard? shouldnt we according to you in an away match DEFEND so why take ballack off for a striker when we r 1-0 down and probably out if we went 2-0 down for a set piece?

Only when some players go, like Lampard or Drogba, we can improve our football. Replace Drogba with a striker with ability like Berbatov and Lampard with a midfielder with pace and skills like Modric or Van der Vaart, and Chelsea never will play as today anymore.

drogba scored 35 goals last yr, lets not get too jumpy, today no chelsea players was anywhere near 20 metres from him, what do u want him to do? fly? he still had a case for a penalty first half, set up joe cole for a clean shot, set up molouda 2nd half for a GLORIOUS CHANCE, set up lampard who took a heavy touch and it went out....give him a break...compare what he was set up for to what torres was set up for..

Agree with footyfan. Bringing on Kalou at a late stage in the game rather than starting him was a good move by Grant in this match.

why who would have been such a threat on the right side that ashley cole needed help? Kuyt? and how did moluda help cole in that regards?

You're def the only men who that can cry about getting an ugly 1-1 away at anfield in the champions league semi final.

Some of your fans don't deserve this team.. maybe when Roman leaves and he leaves you with your willy in your hands, then you'll miss those ugly wins in the semis insted of the fighting for uefa position qualify.

Nothing can make you happy, even your own team winning, just because your darling manager was sacked.

Amazing.
yes an emphatic 1-1 win for us last nite...and whats Roman has to do with this molouda v kalou discussion? we were in the semi with ranieri, with mourihno, and with grant, moaning about the fact we had 1 shot at goal and were saved by a 95th minute own goal is a valid reason for such a strong team, yesterday was probably our WORST performance of the season compared to say the game against arsenal...

funny how we are getting lessons in "whining" from a fan of inter (fans calling for Mancini's head after the 2nd title in a row after winning jack shit in 15 years) and a barca fan (calling for the head of Rijkaard, who only achieved a minor League/CL double)...
