It would be a big break for Chelsea if Gerrard missed out. But I doubt he'll sit out. and my guess is Drogba and Ballack will play as well. any update of injuries today?Who cares about gerrard; if Drogba and Ballack are out, we're in big trouble.
Ballack has been solid after his injury.
Malouda is more traditional and has more big game experience, I kind of like this against Liverpool. Kalou is too young and would play off his best at a hostile setting like Anfield. Not to say he won't play well as a sub, I bet he'll be a good spark for us in the 2nd halfWhy Malouda and not Kalou?
Maybe Grant chose to have a better player in backtracking or fitness issues?
What do you guys say.
 Drogba looked so awkward today it was embarrassing. Lampard just doesn't have the kind of brain capable of playing the football that spectators expect from a world class teamA draw was true a reflection of the game, both goals were lucky. Drogba and Lampard were crap, hope they will be gone this summer. We will finish them off at the Bridge. Liverpool haven't scored at the Bridge for 8 years.
Kalou should not start an away match against a team such as Liverpool. Away at Liverpool, he's not the kind of player you need out there. But as a sub he makes a huge impact. Great tactical approach to the game by Grant. 2nd Leg should see Kalou starti dont understand this line of reasoning, so i choose alex-ben haim to start the game, then i send carvalho in after 70 mints of watching my mistake and doing nothing, our defence improves because of that sub, and i take credit? just dont understand that .... molouda should not have started but rather kalou, we all know that...why grant doesnt change that having seen the 1st leg against fenerbache is beyond me.....
Sorry, Drogba was way below expectation level for a CL semi-final. His running looked slower than normal and was lazy as ****! Sorry man, I just keep it real:howler:You are so damned clueless pretty much anything we created tonight was due to Drogba
That's sounds more like it. Though excellent is pushing it. He was never at his bestdrogba was excellent in the first half, but struggled in the second, possibly a lack of fitness after his injury i guess.
That's how you play Liverpool away in cup competition if you want to advance. First goal at Anfield in the Champions League, own goal or not :howler:GREAT TACTICAL APPROACH? mate we had what 1 shot at goal?? whats wrong with u watched a different game, GREAT TACTICAL APPROACH! good god......kalou, probably our most pacey forward, is not right for an away game when we are targeting counter attacks to nick an away goal? the best dribbler up there who can win us freekicks? so whats the alternative leave drogba isolated like today? besides why is molouda given a first 11 spot? how many games did he play this season? how many goals? how well is his form?.....
if today is a great lesson from grant in tactics in your eyes then i guess we would have to take us being drubbed 5-0 to admit he may have made a mistake!
and can u explain to me taking ballack off for anelka with 5 mints to go and keeping molouda on? or lampard? shouldnt we according to you in an away match DEFEND so why take ballack off for a striker when we r 1-0 down and probably out if we went 2-0 down for a set piece?
:howler: He was a comedian today. It was more funny then crap.As I said apart from Cech and Carvalho no one was at their best; but saying Drogba was crap when literally everything we created - bar the goal itself - was a fruith of his labor is funny to say the least.
:howler: thank you sirAll I will say is Kalou made a telling contribution brought on late in the game. A Grant decision. A decision that may well be key to you getting to the final. In this instance, for this particular match think Grant was correct. Why are you lot moaning anyway? So spoilt. One game away from your first ever CL final.
not only is he nearly inpenetreable but he's also comfortable with the ball at his feet, going forward, and finding teammates with excellent passingCarvalho is the best defender in the world at the moment. At least for me
