Does anyone have a clue about how many turkish teams will get the chance to play in Europe next season ? Since this season was not so succesfull for turkish teams, will this effect our spots next season?

The turkish cup winner goes to UEFA, the champion will play for CL. What about the 2nd, 3rd etc.? Inter-toto? :confused:

Thanx, but its kind of strange that UEFA spots are not decided yet. Clubs should know what the different positions will men regarding European participation. :confused:

this article sheds some light.
Harbi harbi sictik artik.
Tabii article sirf Fener'i sucluyor ama tum takimlarimiz bu sene mahvoldu UEFAda.

Her?ey de?i?ti...

***** Real Zaragoza yenilgisi, sadece Fenerbahçe’nin UEFA Kupas?’na veda etmesine neden olmad?.

Our coefficient points from the last seasons;

2000 - 7.750
2001 - 7.750
2002 - 5.625
2003 - 4.666
2004 - 6.500
2005 - 5.375

Not nearly as bad as everyone thought, eh?

And for next season, when incidentally we will lose those points from GS's wonder season, these rankings will dictate the qualification spots;
http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/crank2005.html

As you can see, it's likely that we'll end up in 11th spot. We've been in 10th for the last 2-3 seasons, so nothing really changes..

To overtake Belgium and Scotland, we'd have had to have gained an extra 1.835 coefficient points this season (we're 1.834 behind both)..

So as you see, it was never a very likely situation.. Fenerbahçe would've had to have gone almost all the way in the UEFA Cup for that to possibly happen..

That article just blows things out of proportion really.. We'd have needed 2-3 teams having a decent showing, or one going all the way for it to happen. Both unlikely situations..

Yeah, the only league that is a threat the Czech had a catastrophic results, half of the points we got this season. :dielaugh:

So its still 2 CL and 2 UEFA(2-2)? What about Intertoto than? or is it 2-1-1? the last being Inter-toto? Yoksam inter-totoyu kaldirdilarmiydi ya?

The Intertoto Cup is more like an invitational tournament, and our FA rejects the invitation all the time..

We haven't had a team in the Intertoto for a few years now..

We could/should have 2 (which makes it 2+2+2), but...

Besiktas'a ne bakiyorsun ya...
It's our worse season man, of course we couldn't win a gazoz kupasi. We couldn't even win the Bira kupasi (efes tourney).

I think Turkish teams shoudl play in Intertoto. Won't it increase our country ranking if we get good results?
I can see Akcabat winning over FCsomeclubsomewhere.

Matches in qualification aren't taken into account, and the Intertoto is basically a qualification tournament to the UEFA Cup..

So there's no points to gain unless the team qualifies and does something in the UEFA Cup..

It actually might be a good thing to reject the Intertoto spots, because it'll mean the weaker Turkish sides are going through, and if they fail at the first hurdle in the UEFA Cup (granted they even get there), then it will have a negative effect on our overall points at the end of the year..
The more teams you have, the harder it is to gain points..

Exactly Tolga and it is also very expensive to play in the intertoto cup since the teams have to travel a lot.
