Don't really know what to think about this friendly tourney. Would think its best to test against teams we wouldnt normally play but does it really matter? More interesting than the garbage friendlies we are used to I guess.

Did you notice, that we play the away match in romania as well as our home match v montenegro at 3 p.m. afternoon?

quite unusual for national team matches, but i like that. :)

They're probably looking at spreading the games out because it's a new format and untested format in order for the TV-ratings not to drop. It's what pays all executives and their trips to the Carribean..:D

Just 2 weeks left for the next gathering and games in UNL. In comparision to the WC-squad not many changes are needed even if this is the start of the ere for the generation won youth EC and WC. I'm hoping for this squad of 25 players:

GK(3): Rajkovic, Dmitrovic, Stojkovic

- The same trio as at the WC. Stojkovic should leave over the starting to Rajkovic or Dmitrovic and eventually be replaced with Manojlovic, Vanja or Svilar.

Full backs(4): Gajic, Ivanovic, Kolarov, Rodic

- Rukavina is retired from the NT while Gajic seems to be a starter at his club and should be revarded with a call-up. I would keep Ivanovic for his experience as this is a very young team.

CB(4): Veljkovic, Milenkovic, Nastasic, Spajic

- Nastasic who is back from injury should replace Tosic who I think should retire from the NT.

DM/CM(5): Matic, Fejsa, Miliovjevic, Maksimovic, Lukic

- I think Fejsa should be back in the team. The same goes for Maksimovic and Lukic while Grujic need to find a new club before he is considered for the NT.

AM(6): Tadic, Zivkovic, Ljajic, Sergej, Gacinovic, Radonjic

- In difference from the WC I would cut Kostic out because of his club situation and replace him with Gacinovic.

S(3): Mitrovic, Jovic, Prijovic

- The same trio as at the WC.

That squad would give us this line-up:

Rajkovic
Gajic - Milenkovic - Nastasic - Kolarov
Matic - Fejsa
Tadic - Sergej - Radonjic
Mitrovic

I am aware that Fejsa might not be there and in that case Milivojevic should replace him. It would be nice to hear the explanation from Krstajic why Fejsa is overlooked but our journalists never ask these questions.

If we need to go forward Fejsa/Milivojevic could be replaced with an more offensive central midfielder like Maksimovic, Gacinovic, or Lukic.

Jovic should get chances from the bench instead of Mitrovic.

Zivkovic is a joker to throw in from the bench.

How many times have I posted about Fejsa?

It’s been mentioned by Serbian journalists time and time again why he no longer gets called up.

He regularly and consistently passed on call ups, stating he was injured only to then play at the weekend.

A decision was then made not to call him up.

Do you have any source about this decision? Have media been writing about it because I can not find anything?

Several journalists have tweeted about it regularly whenever the issue of call ups comes up.

I’m not going to go searching twitter now but rest assured I’ve seen them.

The squad will be presented tomorrow.

Apperantly Luka Milivojevic will not be a part of it because of a fuss with Krstajic...

From a potential high class defensive midfield with Matic, Fejsa, and Milivojevic we are down to nothing. Just perfect. Such things takes away all the joy of following the NT.

Mozzart reporting:

Retired: Rukavina, Ivanović, Tošić

Injured: Matić

Dropped for non-footballing reasons: Milivojević

New names from World Cup: Gaćinović, Lukić, Pantić ( :howler: ), Nemanja Maksimović

Remains to be seen who is going to play right back for us now...

I expect these names should be on it then:

Stojković, Rajković, Dmitrović

Milenković, Nastasić, Veljković, Spajić, Kolarov, Rodić

Lukić, Grujić, Maksimović, Pantić, Živković, Radonjić, Kostić, Gaćinović, Tadić, Ljajić

Mitrović, Jović, Prijović

Not sure if I’ve missed anyone out but that midfield is looking very inexperienced.

No right backs included because I don’t have a clue who’ll be called up there.

This comment can not be the reason because I don't think Milivojevic said anything wrong here. But I guess we will know tomorrow.

This shit is always happening to us. We can not afford to lose potential starters because of a NT coach with zero experince.

I hope Chicago lose one more game so Paunovic gets sacked and then somehow takes over the NT.
