  • This is the second Semi Final HRVATSKA is in during the last 7 months (World Cup 2022 Qatar was the first)
  • UEFA Nations League Finals host country is Netherlands
  • Vatreni have a 1-1 record when facing Netherlands previously (1 win in World Cup 1998 Third Place match and 1 loss in a Friendly in 2008)
  • Winner of the match will be in the Final vs the winner of Spain vs Italia
  • Loser of the match will be in the 3rd Place Game vs the loser of Spain vs Italia
  • Could this be Luka Modrić's last best chance at an International Trophy with HRVATSKA or will be play on for glory in Euro 2024 Germany?

I would have kept Oršić in the lineup, especially after his performances against Brazil and Morocco!

Only problem with that is Mislav has probably forgotten how to kick a ball since his "dream" move to Southampton.

A semi-final is exciting but it's hard to get too excited considering we're going to see the same old combinations up front. Pera, Krama, Pašalić, maybe Petko....

If we do beat the Dutch it won't be pretty.

You forgot Livaja !

We have no way to create offense, because this possession base system is killing us. And defending so deep with everyone behind the ball, allows so few chances on transition. Offensive is basically set plays and luck. I also think youngsters need to start to get chances. and more of them need to get called up.

Outside of Livaja, not one of the other recent NT starters in that midfield or forward position had a really good season. And i could see Modric, Brozovic and Kovacic all switching clubs next season or retiring in Modric's case. I just think that we need an infusion of younger players in the midfield, forward and winger positions. Great to see Beljo and Musa , but are they going to get any playing time in this game? Leaving aside Frigan(as he'll probably be with the U21 squad), i would of called up Brekalo from that standby list. You don't start him but he gives you options off that bench.

Aside, for me Borna Sosa, he has been poor for the NT that i prefer we start Borna Barisic. Even though, i wish Dalic would call someone else up on that LB position.
MUSA or nothing.
Musa is not likely to start. I can't see Dalic giving starters minutes yet to a player who does not get starters minutes at his club. I would be OK with Musa or Beljo starting but I don't think they are first choice yet.

"We believe in the squad. These are the winning bronze."

And where is the guy that scored for "the squad" to have the winning bronze.

"Minor changes"
