I don't agree it is the actual structure. I think it is the squad profile and how it handle big deciding games. Unfortunately there are no big games in the UEFA cup.
yes and no

depends how you define big games and big teams. when you play cup competition, almost every game is like a final as you can be out if you err. even in a group stages, the importance of each game is way exceeding a domestic league game. as such eahc game there is bigger. then again, no question in UCL the stakes are higher and the teams you meet are bigger.
imo milan's big minus (which is UCL turns into a plus) is the inability to focus for long periods or rather on a long periods. if you flip the coin, it also means immense levels of concentration for one or few games, but below par on a long league type of a run. in this sense Milan is the antipode of the "good" old Juve. Also in that sense, i feel personally Milan is closer to me as individuality. IMO, i very rarely can read one thing for more than 30 min up to an hour. and most of the times much less; hence i usually read one book in months. equally i read many books at the same time and I tend to think or hope, that i get more out of few pages than those that read the same book in one or two days. so my concentration can be very intense for a snap period of time, but i am not made to work 8 hours a day, every fukin day

I suffer big time
