We looked vulnerable against Fiorentina, we need Sissoko and Chiellini back.

What's up with Camo?

No idea with Camo, he is a mystery, allways said to be back soon.

And regardless of who we have playing, I would be EMBARRASSED, if we dont win the Udinese of this season. They are laughable, let in goals for fun and lose against everyone.

We should win it and i hope we dont walk into the game with the metality that they are easy.

definitely need chiellini and sissoko...although zanetti and marchisio can hold their own...and legro and mellberg is still solid, not great, but good enough for udinese you would think.

Camo is a real worry, so injury prone, and at his age the club needs to really monitor him...i would hate to lose Nedved and Camo so soon.

Was wondering what you are referring to, but just now say CUG said he would actually hate to lose Nedved? :dazed:

Sentimentally speaking, he is dear to us for his massive contributions in all these years, but practically speaking as in right NOW, he is a LIABILITY. His constant 90 minutes of frustratingly horrible non inputs has actually made me think stuff like, it would be good news if he was suspended for that non-malicious elbow on Lichtsteiner.

Yes, I seriously actually thought it would do the team good if he, a Juventus player, was suspended. His season has been THAT BAD. I usually joke about players that will play for us, but never really mean it (unless its Chimenti being the only available goalie, then I would order a hit on him...)

I love Nedved, and i will after he retires too despite his sorry state now.

It's just a crying shame that his legacy here had to be tarnished by the "inability to call it quits" syndrome. And the club are equally at fault for continually attempting to keep him on longer when it's clear he's not up to the task anymore.

To be fair we should acknowledge the amount of temptation involved in him trying his luck at a last gasp attempt of winning the CL. Given all that has happened in the past (being disqualified from the 2003 CL final, Calciopoli, him staying, etc), i think we can all understand the motive that drives him on at the moment.

But common sense has to prevail at some point. He is doing more harm than good, this is clear.

more harm than good? in what sense????

i'll admit neddy's in decline, offensively. but the reason why he starts so frequently, besides our lack of options, is because of his copertura ability---meaning in layman's terms----he's not hurting us defensively.

so please, i'd like someone to elaborate on this more harm than good notion because i frankly don't see it, defensively speaking of course.

Because when he plays we attack as if we have 10 men on the field. At best. Nedved is very close to worthless when we are in possession, and he does not win a lot of battles on the defensive side of things either due to not just deteriorating pace, but plain absence of it.

As said in previous match threads, with Nedved there's always this chance of something important happening, because he knows what to do. Its just that he hasn't pulled anything off for a long, long time. It looks like we're playing in 10, because he never does anything in offense anymore, and considering that he plays one of the few positions we really must expect offense from, that HURTS.
If we cannot play Giovinco there (its stupid to say we can't given Nedved giving us nothing and Gio time and again proving creative and dangerous when played, but for arguments sake), I would also much rather play DeCeglie there, because he offers more both ways compared to Nedved. His pace and hustle has much more impact, and he plain makes plays. Nedved is frustration defined.

Giovinco will defenitely start, he has earned it, and Iaquinta is just came back. He is physically fit to play but doesnt have match fitness.

Not to mention we wouldnt have any creativity if we played Iaquinta will Amauri. Our best chance would be Marchionni having one of his good games (he has quite bit of assists).

well said. about giovinco, you've got to understand that with molinaro behind the LW, it's imperative that a defensive responsible player plays ahead of him. this is why you see nedved. i agree he's not the most competent at the 1 v 1 battles because tactically it shouldn't even get to that. we all know futbol is all about geometry-playing the angles. if you watch nedved, positionally, he's always there to break up the angles and force low percentage passes. that's playing smart and you and i both know not everyone can play that. problem is if you're late on an assignment or don't have the angles covered, what happens is your forced into a 1 v 1 situation which clearly doesn't favour nedved. certainly when that happens he looks bad. most of the times though when we don't notice it, it's because he did it well and THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. he's a smart player and a lifesaver to molinaro.

can de ceglie play his position and offer perhaps more offensively? probably. i'm just against all these fickle QUOTE ON QUOTE JUVENTINI who have a hard-on for a senatore who's giving it his all, yet they don't even know what the FCUK THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT!! apart from that, great points glen.

If Nedved has to play and DP is not travelling to Udine, then why not give Giovinco the forward spot next to Amauri?
