VS

This is a must win game if we have any aspirations to win the group. Aalborg are a bit of an unknown quantity to many of us but I still expect us to come out of there with three points, however it might not be the walkover many expect.

Team News: Hargreaves is feeling his knee again so he's out. G Neville didn't travel with the squad but no news on any injury, it's more likely he's been left out after playing the full game on Saturday. Obviously it'd be a lot to ask for him to play two games in four days. That gives Brown a chance to reinstate himself as first choice right back. Apart from longterm absentees Carrick and Foster, I don't think there's anything else to report.

Squad: Van Der Sar, Amos, Brown, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, O'Shea, Evra, Ronaldo, Nani, Scholes, Anderson, Fletcher, Gibson, Giggs, Park, Rooney, Berbatov, Tevez

Bookie's Odds: Aalborg 6/1, Manchester United 2/5, Draw 11/4

Venue - Aalborg Stadion

about time James......

Three points is a MUST...If we get 6 points against AaB Aalborg , then we are relatively safe and dont need to put unnecessary pressure on our selves.

I think scholes might start after comming on as a Sub against Bolton, i would like to see fletch along side scholes.

I think rooney should start ahead of tevez along with berbetov and ronaldo.

prediciton : 0-2 ( Rooney and Ronaldo with the goals)

i think a 0-3 win will go down nicely. I'm looking for a nice efficient win.

Nani will get on the score sheet.

Team:

Van Der Sar
Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra
Ronaldo
Scholes
O'Shea
Nani
Rooney
Berbatov

Subs: Amos, Brown, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Evans, Tevez

Nice to see Rafael getting a start. Bit surprised at O'Shea in the middle of the park ahead of Fletcher, no doubt Fletch will be back in there for Blackburn. Anderson's on the bench because apparently he's still struggling a bit for fitness after Olympic duty.

So, we should see this one out no problems. See you kunts later.

It'll be interesting to see how Rafael gets on. Another good performance from him, and our right-back situation will be interesting.

Good team overall, actually. Surprised about O'Shea starting in the middle, but I suppose there's reason for it...unfortunately.

I've just finished watching Real Madrid. How lucky were we to get £8m quid for Heinze? :howler:

Our best player in the first 20 minutes has been Rafael.

Edit: Giggs with a beautiful ball to Rooney, 1-0 :hopeful:

3-0. Superb goal by Berbatov!

Hopefully the injuries to Scholes, Rooney and Rafael arent that bad.
