SEEDED TEAMS: Liverpool; Barcelona; Arsenal; Schalke; Juventus; Rangers/Kaunas; Marseille; Steaua Bucharest; Panathinaikos/Dinamo Tbilisi; IFK Gothenburg/Basle; Olympiakos; Fenerbahce/MTK Hungaria; Shakhtar Donetsk; Anderlecht/BATE; Fiorentina; Spartak Moscow.

UNSEEDED TEAMS: Atletico Madrid; Sheriff Tiraspol/Sparta Prague; Drogheda/Dynamo Kiev; Levski Sofia; Slavia Prague; Galatasaray; Inter Baku/Partizan Belgrade; Vitoria Guimaraes; Domzale/Dinamo Zagreb; Beitar Jerusalem/Wisla Krakow; Standard Liege; Twente Enschede; Tampere/Artmedia Bratislava; Aalborg/Modrica; Brann/Ventspils; Anorthosis Famagusta/Rapid Vienna.

------------------------------------------------------

Basically, we'll get one of the unseeded teams. The most interesting team there seems to be Atletico, I'm sure Torres is dreaming of getting them in the draw.

Liverpool, who are top seeds, could face any of the following teams:

Atletico Madrid (Spain)
FC Sheriff (Moldova) or Sparta Prague (Czech Republic)
Drogheda United (Ireland) or Dynamo Kiev (Ukraine)
Levski Sofia (Bulgaria)
Slavia Prague (Czech Republic)
Galatasaray (Turkey)
Inter Baki (Azerbaijan) or FK Partizan (Serbia)
Vitoria SC (Portugal)
NK Domzale (Slovenia) or Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia)
Beitar Jerusalem (Israel) or Wisla Krakow (Poland)
Standard Liege (Belgium)
FC Twente (Netherlands)
Tampere United (Finland) or Artmedia Petrzalka (Slovakia)
Aalborg (Denmark) or FC Modrica (Bosnia)
SK Brann (Norway) or FK Ventspils (Latvia)
Anorthosis Famagusta (Cyprus) or Rapid Vienna (Austria)
hopefully, we don`t face any of atletico, galatasaray, dinamo zagreb and partizan too. otherwise, i don`t care. good luck. :)

Standard de Liege deservedly won the league last year, with a young and talented team.

In goal they have Espinoza, a typical Southern American goalkeeper who's stong in the air but always has some weak moments in a game. Their defence (Marcos-Sarr-Onyewu-Dante) was rock hard last season, but their new coach Böloni isn't happy with their current performances. Marcos is an attacking and technically strong rightback, Sarr and Onyewu are big, strong and athletic but slow and vulnerable to counter attacks in the space behind them, Dante is imo their best defender ... a very athletic, strong, fast player with higher potential than the Belgian league

The base of their success was their midfield (Goreux/Dufer-Fellaini-Defour-Witsel) ... a young and talented midfield with Fellaini as the biggest talent imo. They played fast combination football but had no problem with switching to a harder, more virile style of play. They will miss Fellaini trough the Olympics though, after a real soap we're still not certain if he'll play against LFC

Up front they played Jovanovic and Mbokani, 2 good strikers who both want to leave the club.

The biggest loss Standard suffered in losing their coach. Michel Preud'homme was a legend with the fans, and the man who had the right psychological abilities to form a compact and solid side from that young bunch of talented players.

i think liverpool will miss 3 important players in these 2 games due to the Olympics.

Fellaini got (ridiculously) suspended for the second game at the Olympics, so he'll travel back to Belgium today.

I expect this line-up against LFC:

===========Espinoza===========

==Marcos===Onyewu==Mikulic====Dante==

==Dalmat====Fellaini===Defour====Witsel==

=========Mbokani====De Camargo=======

I don't think Jovanovic will play, he still wants to leave the club. Standard aren't in great form yet, they weren't really able to impress in their pre-season fixtures
