Okay guys.

Is it fair to say Spice Boy has shown more in a handful of games than Yoann in his entire Milan stay? Goals wise, yes. And no, I am still not a Beckham fan... shit, I guess I just became one ;).

Is this a result of Carlo's attitude towards both?
Is this because Becks is better? :D
Is this because Gourcuff can't play in a big team?
Is this because Beckham has found a spot in a midfield without Gattuso while Gourcuff had to live some of the very best Seedorf had to offer?

You decide. If your happiness score exceeds 10 Hedons, donate 25 cents to XT.

Beckham is a seasoned pro who has played on huge stages and done well. No suprise he is adapting. Gourcuff was a kid trying to break in and did not have confidence nor much support. And yes, Becks having support from the top helps too.

No, but a really good player who is confident and has played with huge clubs is going to fare better than a kid making his first try at a big club. Skillwise Gourcuff has some things Beckham does not and never did, without confidence and a secure place in the team they will not shine.

Gourcuff was just some kid who had to prove himself and failed under pressure. And he still has everything left to prove.

Beckham is the most well-known footballer in the world who was world class in his prime (obviously far above Gourcuff's current level) and can still show flashes of brilliance. And he doesn't have to prove anything anymore (everybody hates him anyway and says he's an overhyped and overpaid fagg0t no matter what he does) so he can just enjoy the game.

as one is a Milan player right now and the other is on loan and plays in another club, i have no choice here. Things might be different in April or indeed in June. Personally I hope in June/Sep we have them both in our squad so we dont have to compare them much.

Beckham played Right from the start., irregardless of fitness or form.

That is the sign of confidence in the big player.

Any coach would do just that.

Gourcuff had to earn it. Who knows if Gour is relied upon. He could do better or he could flop. No comparison.

Gourcuff's competition at the time was a very good Seedorf. Gourcuff scored on his debut too, won plaudits from almost every single newspaper in Italy, had a decent run in the team rotating with Seedorf but then he got injured for about 2 or 3 months.

many others - probably yes
what i mean is that you make two posts that are normal without trolling or attacking. that is worth acknowledging since so many people have lost hope you can ever do that.

None of those three young players walked in and got a starting spot, although Pato got one quickly. The rest had a few years to break in, but the key is they had support and their confidence grew. Gourcuff did not get that. As for the two stars you mentioned; I did not say every star is going to have an easier time, but both of those players were given a starting job that they eventually lost. Gourcuff was not given a starting job, but rather had to work with sub minutes and occasional starts. Beckham has gotten a starting spot and the confidence of the coach, also something Gourcuff never had. That was my point.
