Indeed, this is terrible. Pirri truly was only doing his job. I don't even know why Guti is mad. Guti should have just accepted what Pirri said as an objective assessment of him as a player. I say let Guti go if he cannot be professional enough to accept criticism. After all, what kind of player, or person even, is that that will not listen to what others have to say?

I think he's already proven that he can't be consistent. Such a shame considering what he could have been.

At any rate, I hope he can now run a streak of 5 straight good games. That should be possible.

Less pressure = better performance

Same goes for Raul. And it's not just the general pressure to perform, it's the literal pressure on the pitch from defenders. Whereas the two would originally draw coverage since they were near the top of the depth chart, today main coverage is assigned to Kaka and Ronaldo.

Guti and Raul can do plenty of damage when not drawing the opposition's top markers.
