Trap receives Mexico warning Monday 20 May, 2002

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has warned Italy that Mexico could cause them problems in the 2002 World Cup.
The Rossoneri faced Italy’s group rivals in a friendly in Los Angeles and were defeated 2-1 by an outfit that Ancelotti rates highly.
"The Mexicans are an expert side that are well organised," he stated. "They are very good in defence and on the wings."
The former Juventus boss continued: "Italy definitely have the upper hand in the quality of players but they will need to remain focused for the whole 90 minutes."
Ancelotti’s warning came just days after the Azzurri put in a desperately disappointing show in Saturday’s 1-0 loss against the Czech Republic.
Milan also played Ecuador – another of Italy’s group rivals – earlier this month but Ancelotti maintained that Italy had little to fear. "The Azzurri are definitely much stronger than the South Americans," he commented.
The Azzurri will kick off their World Cup campaign on June 3 against Ecuador. They then face Croatia on June 8 before playing Mexico five days later.
