Third away game of the season, the first two ended with perfectly simmetric outcomes. Good second half and 4-1 win at Cagliari, good first half and 4-1 defeat at Milan. Torino is a good team, featuring two old friends with lots of motivations. Rolando Bianchi has still something to prove to Lazio and undoubtedly he will give his 150% against us. Last summer Nicola Amoruso was on the verge of joining Lazio, but when evrything seemed done, the deal was off.

As for Lazio, according to gazzetta.it, Rossi will field the same starting 11 who began the game against Fiorentina, and also the same tactics (the "Christmas tree"):

Carrizo

Lichtsteiner - Siviglia- Cribari - Radu

Brocchi - Ledesma - Mauri

Pandev - Foggia

Zàrate

I thought that tactic was really 4-3-3 but that's probably due to us playing well right from the start. No point in changing a winning team, they say in the US, and this time I must agree with that. Last 30 minutes wednesday was a jog anyway.

The issue is whether we will get cocky again like before the Milan game. If we don't, we can conquer that other Olimpico. Hopefully Zarate will teach Bianchi a lesson how one should play while on loan in order to secure a permanent move.

Hopefully we won't underestimate Torino because they are a good team but we hae shown great so form so far bar the match against the opponent we always lose to. I got a strange optimistic feeling of a good performance and result but dare I say it out loud. :)

They dont have Rosina, have only stereotypical prima puntas, but no midfielder with an ounce of attacking capabilities to create for them. You should win for sure, might be a draw, but dont see how they can out gun you with your capabilities despite being their home.

If we play with 60% what we showed against Fiorentina and Sampdoria, we win for sure.

Let's not get carried away, guys...every away match in Serie A is hard for us. So far in the two we have played we had a lot of luck at Sardegna and got massacred in Milan. To win today would be a fantastic result, surely not something we should expect...

Absolutely. It's important to keep our feet on the ground. Once again there is mention in the media about Lazio winning the scudetto, which is preposterous to talk so early in the season. Let's take this one game at a time and we'll see where we end in May.

It will be interesting to see how the 4-3-2-1 formation works out. Last week we had a very good result with it and it provides us with the possibility to include players who otherwise would not be in the starting 11. Let's hope it will work again today.

Forza Lazio !!

Yes, we really should avoid this at any cost. Yesterday there was was a channel 4 article about Lotito talking about scudetto which thankfully was little more than totally misleading title. Today there is Rossi actually talking about matching the team Cragnotti built...Unnecessary.

We're not playing particularly well but we are still leading 1-0.

Torino has really poured on the pressure and our defence sometimes looks like it is falling apart. Especially Radu is having big problems protecting his left side. The stability of the defence also took a hit when Cribari had to come off with a head injury due to Abruscatto's elbow.

Our defence could use some help from midfield which isn't working too well. Ledesma rarely touches the ball and when he does he gives it away. Brocchi wins too few balls, Mauri is his usual self and Foggia's dribbles often turns sour. Pandev and Zarate can't do much but when they do get the ball Torino is in trouble.

It took a great of individual effort and a bit of luck to get the lead. Zarate dribbled three defenders and just when you thought he had lost the ball be managed to pass it to Pandev who hit it into the net from the edge of the box.

We need to shape up because Torino has missed some enormous chances and we need another goal to win this match.

Stupid yellow cards for Zarate Kid and Pandev for obstructing Corini's free kicks.

We are very lucky to be leading but Torino are even luckier to stil have eleven players on the pitch, they could have easily been down to ten by now. Disgraceful refereeing leading to nothing for a blatant elbow in the face of Cribari.
Foggia has been a non-entity, I think we should use Meghni instead.

Nice Zarate goal, 0-2.

Still we have to thank the higher powers if we actually do take all three points. This is actually the type of game that elevates a non-deserving team to higher expectations... and eventually they always come crashing down. Bloated bubble incoming.

Torino didn't deserve to lose this game with three goals, they could've easily been level with Lazio but Zaraté and Pandev have made the difference, that's the great thing about having quality players, they almost always come up with important goals.

I personally think the signing of Zaraté has been a great one for Lazio, perhaps the best in Serie A. Interesting to see that not many clubs were interested in signing him from the beginning though. The guy is definitely growing.

That's exactly what happened today. Four wins out of five...who could have guessed?

Another Zarate goal....wow! How much can Lazio sell him for after this season? :)
They can't sell him, he's on loan at Lazio, he's owned by Al-Sadd ( Qatar ).

not only that, but I think Lazio had a set price for him before the season started so I think it would be foolish for Lazio not to buy him out at the end of the season.
