04/30/2002. Torino coach Giancarlo Camolese has revealed an interest in signing Parma playmaker Hidetoshi Nakata.

The Grenade have performed above all expectations this season and have the chance of reaching Europe via the Intertoto Cup.

The prospect of European football may be enough to tempt Nakata away from Parma where he has endured a miserable season after his big-money move from Roma.

"He's a world class player, he would allow us to step up a level," commented Camolese

What a load of crap! :yuck: Join Torino to play in the Intertoto when Parma are already qualified for the Uefa cup?!? :wth:

Or are we not qualified after all?

No, we are allready qualified. Whoever made this rumour up just didn't bother to controll the reality in what he wrote.

About Nakata in Torino, I guess they will have to come up with a sh*tload of money somewhere. And Nakata will rather stay here then go to Torino. No doubt about that.

Just a stupid rumour.

Stupid rumor and you are right about it Enola. Only place Nakata will go is Parma, England or Spain or if in Italy another big club(but where???). Honestly, I think he should stick to a team for a few seasons. I don`t like this club hopping business he has done. Finally he is playing some good football and on the starting 11 and I think that`s what he want. Next season for us will be a rebuilding phase. It could go either way but with younger players I am thinking that it will be exciting.

Torino can never be able to cough up the money. If Torino wants to spend money, I say lure some one from the J-league. Ogasawara, Yanagisawa, Ichikawa, Alex, or even Suzuki can be good players that can probably bring Japanese fans. Personally I would like to see Nanami given another shot. He failed at Venezia but that was because he didn`t fit the system. Post World Cup season is coming up and I think we are gonna see alot of new faces in Serie A.
