Who would you say are the 10 best European players right now? In any position. My choices:

1. Dirk Nowitzki (Germany - Dallas Mavericks)
2. Pedja Stojakovic (Serbia - Sacramento Kings)
3. Pau Gasol (Spain - Memphis Grizzlies)
4. Dejan Bodiroga (Serbia - Barcelona)
5. Tony Parker (France - San Antonio Spurs)
6. Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Lithuania - Cleveland Cavaliers)
7. Andrei Kirilenko (Russia - Utah Jazz)
8. Darko Milicic (Serbia - Detroit Pistons)
9. Vlade Divac (Serbia - Sacramento Kings)
10. Arvydas Macijauskas (Lithuania - Tau Vitoria)

Also players like Navarro, Radmanovic, Fuc ka, Jasikevicius, Raul López... have quality to be mentioned.

:D i heard about him...what nationality is he?

btw, we (the warriors) have a young european player (french)...his name is mikael pietrus (sp?)...mussellman hasn't played him that much...but this kid certainly has potential and can play defense...he is just still too raw and is not ready to contribute much...

peja is having a great year but if i was a coach i rather have nowitzki, the guy is big and versatile, the nba is all about matchups. my other two favourites are kirilenko and gasol.

Yeah but when you take into account Dirk's defense (or lack of it) it makes him very exposed and terrible when he matches up against other pf's that have offensive abilities (i.e. Webber, Rasheed Wallace, Tim Duncan, Elton Brand etc.)

Fuc ka plays for Italy but is born in Slovenia if I'm not misstaking.

Stojakovic is the best european player in my opinion. Despite the fact that he was pants in European Championship this autumn. Nowitski is second and Gasol third. After them I'll put Bodrioga.

Divac isn't as good as he was while playing in Lakers.

Super Puyol> Raul Lopez? Please tell me you're jokeing!

Problems with fiunding who is the best is seperate leagues...

NBA players are achieving wonderful results, but relatively normal in NBA. What would Bodiroga been like over there? What would Fuèka achieve there? That seems to be here the hardest problem.

In my opinion Euroleague is almost as powerful as the NBA. So we can compare them in some way. Parker so becomes no one with his stats. Also Divac, Jaric, Nesterovic, Giricek...

Best players would be:

Nowitzki
Micujauskas
Ilgauskas
Turkcan
Radmanovic
Vujcic
Tomasevic
Pittis
Smodis
Bodiroga
Sabonis

nah, my first order is more reasonable....

so...

1) Vlade Divac (Kings - S&M)
2) Arvydas Sabonis (Žalgiris)
3) Predrag Stojakovic (Kings - S&M)
4) Dirk Nowitzki (Maverics Germany(
5) Dejan Bodiroga (Barcelona - S&M)
6) Arvydas Macijauskas (Tau - Lituania)
7) Pau Gasol (Spain)
8) Tony Parker (France)
9) Radoslav Nesterovic (Slovenia)
10) Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Lituania)
11) Andrei Kirilenko (Russia)
12) Sarunas Jasikevicius (Maccabi Tel Aviv - Lituania)
13) Vladimir Radmanovic (S&M)
14) Mirsad Turkcan (CSKA - Turkey)
15) Gregor Fuèka (Barcelona - Slovene with an Italian passport)
16) Kukoc Toni (Croatia)
17) Gordan Giricek (Croatia)
18) Tomasevic Dejan ( Pamesa - S&M)
19) Jiri Welsch (Checkh Republic)
20) Hidayet Turkoglu (Turkey)

but nowitzki can also play the SG and SF and nobody can guard him at those positions, im not saying hes a great defensive player but offensively he can expose alot of weaknesses, he can be a matchup nightmare for the opposing team, plus he can get you about 10 boards a game, with that size and that versatility he is not only the best european player but probably one of the best players in the world. peja is also a great player but he is lacking that all around game.

1 nowitzki
2 peja
3 gasol(soon to be #2)
4 kirilenko
