According to ESPN, we're third, after Real Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen. I'm inclined to believe that, considering Leverkusen won nothing this season, they aren't the second best team in the world, and therefore, Arsenal are the second best.

I'd say you are currently 4th, behind Real Madrid, Man Utd and Bayern Munich.

What did Bayern Munich do this year = Nothing they even finished 3rd hahaha, you must be joking we won a double need i remind you. Hell Leverkusen finished ahead of them in everything so how can they be above Leverkusen mate you must be joking. We beat Manure in almost all games this year so how can they be ahead of the Arse.

We were the only team to win a tie against Bayer H & A.

Ill change my top ten slightly after thinking a tad more

1. Real
2. Arsenal
3. Dortmund 1+2
4. Feyenoord 3+1
5. Leverkusen 2 RU
6. Inter 2+semi
6. Juve 1
8. Valencia are level cos the others had big european competition.
8. Ajax
10. Barca
10. Manure

well it is very simple if you just read the notes on those so called top 10 clubs.
most of them started last year or even before that. and the points have been counting up.
if you just did a table about this year
then yes, arsenal would be 2nd behind real madrid
or even the other way around.
becuase real did only win the CL. but that is the champions of europe, that can be debated when they didnt when the li liga and came 3rd i think it was.
where arsenal totally dominated in england.

Arsenal are certainly better than Manure. But not by much as they reached the semis. I would interchange our position with theirs in the original list.;)

Bye

champions league performances should be taken in contention above all in this ranking. a team that wins a league gets knocked out in the early stages of the CL...come on. base your rankings on CHAMPIONS LEAGUE performances, because these are the opponents whom we will have to fear most next season if we want to anything.

We are definitely amongst the top 7 I reckon, definitely lagging behind Madrid and Bayern, but just about on par with the likes of Man Utd (better European pedigree), Juventus, Deportivo.

Valencia might be up with us as well.

1. Real Madrid
2. Bayern Munich
3. Man Utd
4= Arsenal
4=Juve
4=Deportivo
7. Valencia

Before I see this, let me guess: It was compiled by the IFFHS, no?

The IFFHS bases its standings on nonsensical ratings. It counts 1 point per point gained in the League, but counts a victory in the CL was worth 12 points! They also use results from the past 2 seasons - which isn't an indication of the ability of the team. Either they use the results from only this season, or they start delving into the archives to find results from the 1980s. There should be no middle ground. This means that Liverpool (who won nothing) finished above Arsenal, who won the Double!

The ratings are total crap!
True Liverpool had one of their best seasons in years but how do they feature above Arsenal!
Arsenal beat them once in the league and drew the other time!
Arsenal dumped them out of the FA CUP!
Infact not only did Liverpool not beat the Gunners all season, they finished below the Gunners in the League and FA CUP!
