This is the current Parma forum description:

Formed in 1913, but only reached the Serie A in 1990: in last 8 years they won 2 Coppa Italia and 4 european trophies.

First of all that needs to change cause we have added a 3rd Coppa Italia. But overal, shouldnt we come up with something better? The above is so... lame...

How about:

"Founded in 1913, Parma reached Serie A for the first time in 1990 and never looked back. Winners of two UEFA Cups, one Cup Winners Cup and three Coppa Italia, Parma had players like Faustino Asprilla, Gianfranco Zola, Hernan Crespo and Lilian Thuram in their ranks. Will the new Gialloblu generation of Sebastien Frey, Daniele Bonera, Marco Marchionni and Aimo Diana manage to superpass them under the guidance of the legendary Arrigo Sacchi?"

Thoughts? :)

I think it's surpass, not superpass... :)

Otherwise it's fine. But don't you think it's a bit lengthy?

My suggestion:

Founded in 1913, Parma reached Serie A in 1990 and have since then qualified for european competitions every season. In their trophy cabinet you will find 2 Uefa Cups, 1 Cup Winner's Cup, 1 European Supercup, 3 Coppa Italia and 1 Supercoppa Italiana. Parma profiles include yesterday's Zola, Thuram and Crespo and today's Frey, Cannavaro and Nakata.

Oh, what the h*ll. It's too difficult...

I like yours Marten... how about a small change:

Founded in 1913, Parma reached Serie A in 1990 and have since then qualified for european competitions every season. In the Ennio Tardini trophy cabinet there are 2 Uefa Cups, 1 Cup Winner's Cup, 1 European Supercup, 3 Coppa Italia and 1 Supercoppa Italiana. Will Arrigo Sacchi's new Gialloblu generation manage to surpass the achievements of Zola, Crespo and Thuram?

?

I'd like the future and Sacchi mentioned somewhere... :)

Anyway, give as many suggestion as possible, and we can make a poll? how about that? or we can agree like that? :)

To be totally honest I really don't care since I never see it anyway.
But Amo's latest looked good and correct without sounding to corny. :)

I think it's pretty long, too long probably and I would't mention any names in it. Who knows how long Sacchi will last and then you'll need to change it again.

I also think that we have to change the article as soon as possible!
Amo's last text was good but I think that it's not a good idea to pick out players from our history! We have to say that we won 4 European Cups and 4 ones in Italy even if we are in the elite only for almost ten years and that our future looks bright with the leading of Arrigo Sacchi (but this is not the most important...). One other thing matters: the article must be short!

Who is able to change this article?

Pisti, once we agree I take it to the mods forum and ask an administrator to change it. :)

But we must agree first... well?

Upon promotion to Serie A in 1990, Parma quickly established itself as a force in both Italy and Europe. So far, Parma have won 2 Uefa Cups, 1 Cup Winner's Cup, 1 European Supercup, 3 Coppa Italia and 1 Supercoppa Italiana. While Lo Scudetto still eludes them, it won't for long.

I agree with IVO's! Let's keep it with a minimal change: Let's write the "Uefa Cup" with big letters: "UEFA Cup"

"Upon promotion to Serie A in 1990, Parma quickly established itself as a force in both Italy and Europe. So far, Parma have won 2 UEFA Cups, 1 Cup Winner's Cup, 1 European Supercup, 3 Coppa Italia and 1 Supercoppa Italiana. While Lo Scudetto still eludes them, it won't for long."

This article could be perfect! (Maybe a little long yet, but I would accept it!)
