Hmm..now I understand some of Fred's frustration.

There only seems to be one opinion that counts on this board.

Interesting actually, I think I am going to use this experience when I go back to school and get my PHD.

c'mon mate, you voiced your opinon and I voiced mine.
you said "other players need to step up" then I said "it doesn't work like that" players can't become top draw players overnight nor can they change their character. Scholes has never been a leader, the leaders are Heinze, Neville, Giggs.
Now it's up to you to explain to me how certain players can change the way they play over night from a reserve team player into a world class one.

Telling me that you are the best player in your team is nothing to do with that. It won't change my opinon on this. We are all students of the game .... I would love to hear your storys about your team but that is for another thread. I gave you several examples of teams losing their best players and they went down the table, this in turn backed up my opinon.
My opinon was based on fact of this subject. (I didn't tell you about me doing my Cryuff turns in games and the whole neighbourhood talking about them ;) as they have no relevance here)

There only seems to be one opinion that counts on this board.
absolutely not true, I wouldn't have spent so long explaining to why I disagree with your opinon in this debate.

they want to get Aldo Duscher :googly: wasnt that the guy who kicked Beckham almost out of the WC 2004 ?
yeah :) ... but thats only rumours started by him (at this stage).
And Capello is named possible replacement if Fergusson gets sacked or leaves :googly:
If he gets sacked there will be hell for the Glazers....
and Capello is my #1 choice to replace Fergie when he retires as a lord :shades:

where did you hear the Capello story?
i just read it on a dutch football site :)

Therein lies the difference. I am not about debate, I like to dialogue because in my mind, it really does not matter who is right or wrong. We all see things differently.

My frustration with your opinion is a failure to acknowledge other people's point of view. Your filter is very narrow. Facts alone do not explain why things happen. I understand your point of view and appreciate the details in which you argue. It is different than how I see things and how I process information.

I can give you numerous examples in the American sports landscape that argues my point. I am afraid that will generate the kind of response I get from people here when I discuss the Football we all love.

My point is simple. For most teams, I agree, certain key players will make the difference in how a team performs moving forward. The expectation for a club like Manchester United should be different. As Giggs, Keane, Scholes, Neville get older, they will have more chances of getting injured. Which means, the younger players need to step up their efforts, their development, and start replacing the role players that are injured.

Fletcher, Alan Smith, Rio, and Ruud are the ones that need to take that role over in the absence of the others.

It is a different way of looking at it than you. Yet, it has its merits.

Like I said to you before, How can you expect every generation of youth teams to produce players the likes of Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, Butt and the Nevilles??? it's not gonna happen!
I also said before that Man Utd can't go out and buy any more, they are 600Million pound or so in debt.

The younger players are not as good, get used to it.
you can't expect them to players that they are not.

none of them have ever been leaders, but they did good today :D
hehe :D actually i expected you to photoshop yourself in the picture :D but this is a nice one too :)
thats good news :) Bentex, ive heard that Man Untd wants to get Casillas when his contract runs out at Madrid :googly: is this true??
its seems the story game from goal.com, they make up alot of stories.
I see what they say on the red hot news tonight on MUTV.
yeah :) cause van der Sar isnt planning on stopping for another 2 years or something :)
They televised the replay of the game here yesterday.

That was the best game I have seen Smith play in a Man Utd uniform. Actually, that was the best Man Utd game since the Arsenal game last year. They looked like a Man Utd team playing.

Whatever Keane said, it worked. (If he said anything at all)
