This forum has become difficult to follow. Look at all the threads, they are many many pages long, and most of them degenerate into "Byzentine debates". Is there any way of making this place more reader friendly and more condusive to useful debate?

Wow... the intelligence of Real Madrid fans seem to be lowering dramatically by the day.

How dense are you people?

Stick to the threads already opened! :wallbang: :wallbang:

Actually donno what you mean. Ill merge some threads talking about recent problems later. The problem is that a merge is sorting the posts by the time and with parallel discussions in different threads about slightly different topics it can confuse the ppl and make the threads even longer and thougher to follow. The recent topics are all threads of the last few days, just the posting rate is pretty high. But its not my task to stop discussions (when they are in the frame of XT-rules).

if you want to find old threads better, ive setup a blackboard as a guide.

Away from that were always open for suggestions. :)

Like the stupid crapham captain thread, it is of 11 pages 'only' under these settings.

merging threads at this point will only cause a bigger mess imo. When we notice less posts in a thread we will merge it. ;)

I've noticed the same thing. Anyone else notice that this happened at about the same time lili became mod? That's what you get for having too many women FM's. :howler: :dazed: ;) Just kidding ladies, just kidding. *awaiting "dirtbag" comment*

I think this place needs MORE threads. It's the only hope for having shorter threads; their length is what makes them unreadable.

guys, the problem is (as I already pointed out) that there are parallell discussions in the threads. A merge means that everything comes together only sorted by the time (not by the thread) so it will become a mess and turn out in really long threads. The forum is pretty busy at the moment and who will reply to a post that is 3 pages ago? All we want is to keep up the discussions (whats actually our task as FM). Merging is a good thing when you dont have much traffic in one of the threads. But we have much traffic in all threads. As Lili said, well merge the threads when the traffic goes down :).
