Villa is confirmed to be earning 3M Euros Net next season and Villalonga is looking to sign some heavyweights who will be earning around the same bracket and his plan is to them exploit the fvck out of them commercially with their marketing value.

Today Lasprovincias says Silva is next to be earning 3M Euros and although I like the ambitiousness we are showing by now paying as much as the other top clubs, but this will backfire. Maybe if we were in a better financial position then I'd be ok with this but now that Silva is reported to be getting 3M Euros net (Villa is understandable), this will only open the doors to some mass contract renewals and improvements which will set us in deep trouble, especially if this marketing thing doesn't work.

The good news out of all this is that both Villa and Silva want to extend their already long contracts.

I agree, i don't like Silva getting 3 million, at all. Let's get into a more stable financial position first, then be offering wages like that. For Villa, no complaints, but Silva, not yet. But at the same time you could say, if you want to keep your "best" (Second most valued in Silva's case) players happy, and with more security for the club, then it should be done. When, Villa and Silva extend there contracts, they will just about 100% stay with the club, unless Chelsea or something feel like breaking record fees...

Even if we are exploiting him I don't he deserves that cash yet, that is just a huge mistake. The motivation of playing better will just die as he's already in the club he wants to play at and he's earning movie star salaries at 22. Everything he wants. He will not have much to aspire too.

Anyway, I hope LasPro is just speculating about that wage and we offer him something like 2M Euros max at first.

That would be ridiculous of us, we got rid of Villalonga when he was offering Villa 3M Euros to Villa and now we raise it? Besides didn't Villa get a deal before Silva? If that's so, he wouldn't have the chance to ask for a higher salary considering Silva also gets 3M Euros and thus claim he is a better player hence he deserves more.
