In the same week of Napoli-Inter and Lazio-Roma the match of the week is going to be, against all possible predictions, Juventus - Atalanta.
Atalanta are making "a Juventus" in the past 9 games, as they have won 8 and drawn 1, for 25 points. In the same amount of games Juventus have won 7 and lost 2, for 21 points.

They will probably lay down and lose 3-0 like every other Serie A side who met Juve at their stadium.

But should be a good game if they play to their recent standards, especially with how Juve been struggling lately.

It is possible, but Atalanta's physical and mental condition is impressive while Juventus in the game at Marassi looked poor enough to make unlikely a great performance in the following game. It's a game in which Juventus need "positive episodes" in order to win, such as Vazquez suicide at Sevilla. Recovering Dybala is also crucial but I wonder whether Juventus will risk him with Atalanta when there is the derby with Toro the following week.

In the next three matches Juventus si going to face Atalanta, Torino and Roma. It's not a positive period for Juve mentally and phisycally, but we all know their strenght. It's not simply make a predictions for theese matches.

Warning to the ones who have some money they want to throw out of the window*: this is the last fruitful week for bets on Atalanta winning the scudetto. If Juventus win then you can forget Atalanta, if Atalanta win then the odds will go down badly.

*it actually is money thrown out of the window because Atalanta have one chance on a million to win the scudetto and bets are for people who have money to throw out of the window anyway

Dybala defenitely wont play, will be suprised if he is called up, maybe only for mental boost lol. Would be stupid if he was risked. We have all our games this month at home, its no hurry to risk our best player when we should be comfortable in results enough with home advantage despite the injury issues and performance issues.

Our games nowadays is entirely about how well our wings play and if someone steps for the odd goal when Gonzalo hasnt been on form/out injured. Midfield is nonexistent physical presence and work rate (except when Marchisio plays).

Italy isnt tactically stupid enough to let teams with quality like Atalanta to win title. Its nice to dream, but they arent no Leicester, not only because they lack a Vardy and Mahrez, but because Leicesters main strength was no one bothered to adapt to Ranieri's fairly normal conservative counter tactics in EPL, like everyone just played the same vs them. Put that same pressure with team like Atalanta who can keep winning, but eventually will be analyzed and tactically frustrated when they are seen as a bigger fish eventually. Requires alot of quality and adaptive organisation to go all the way.

It has a buzz in a way a game ouf ours vs Atalanta never had before, but we are at home and need to react so defenitely thinks its safe to predict we will win, at worst draw.

on paper juve is better side and the stronger. also as you said it's at home which makes it tougher one for atalanta. i don't doubt that, i just said that it was predictable one according to previous game for both sides

It shouldn't kill their buzz and momentum, but there is a reason we won immovable force at home. Imo only Napoli have the ability and poise to break our invincible aura at home after 25 straight wins there. It takes more then good form of a small club that entire wage budget is less then what we pay Gonzalo and Pjanic.

So what your saying, without saying it, is that Gonzalo and Pjanic are overpaid failures

No not really, but that money gets you quality as general rule, Atalanta is basically either average players, some promising youngsters and a good player like Gomez. They punch over their weight for sure big time, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for in the long run.

I have been very critical or Pjanic in general play, but I would hardly call him a failure after a game he assisted 2 of the 3 goals?

I just watched until Sandro scored. And your correct, two assist in a game is good whatever side your against. I was speaking more in general terms over the season so far though.

Anyway, these weeks up to Xmas is when juve will make their move and slip away from their opponents.

Lots of salty Roman mopes. You won your little derby. Be happy!

The reason Atalanta looked like crap was because Juve made them look like crap. We are on another level to you. It's time you started realizing it.
