Despite the many absent players, either becuase of call ups to the senior squad (Patsatzoglou, Charisteas) or injuries (Vakouftsis, Choutos, Petrou) the U-21 one more time proved their strength by beating Denmark at Odense 2-3. The Danes opened the score with Sonasen at 30', only for Greece to equalise with Kiriazis at 41' after an assist by Agritis. Denmark scored one more at 45' with Crausen and 2-1 was the half time score. In the second half Michalopoulos did many subs but despite that, we scored two goals, first with Agritis at 59' and then with an own goal by Lungbys at 82' :)D)after a shot by Salpigidis.

Line ups:

Denmark Andersen; Olesen (46' Lungbys), Tomasen, Albertchen, E.Jensen (78' Mejaminsen); Christiensen, Crausen, Sonasen (58' Larssen), Hakasson; H.Jensen, Agustinusen (62' Christiansen)

Greece Kotsolis (66' Anastasopoulos); Tavlaridis, Valas (54' Louboutis), Kiriazis; Seitaridis, Katsouranis (62' Gittas), Nastos, Pitsos; Theodoridis (62' Vaggelis); Amanatidis (70' Fotakis), Agritis (59' Salpigidis)

Greece have a pretty tough draw in Group B for the Championship next month. France is along with Italy probably the best team in the tournament, whilst the Czechs were runners up last time to Italy and Belgium is always one of those tough second tier European sides.
