After MajorGeorge's insistent opinions on Puskas greatness. I Will finally Tell my opinion about him.

Here is comes:

Some teams are magical and they make the players play better than they actually are. In the history of football It happened a handful of times.

Hungary in 50s.
Ajax in 71-73.
Barcelona 2006-2012.
Santos 2010.

Are a few exemples.

Santos had one played called andre. He scored one goal per game.but then he disappeared.
Paulo Ganso also seemed great. But was not.
Only neymar was a real deal.

Messi shines in Barcelona but is shit in Argentina.

Cruyff shone in Ajax and Netherlands(which was basically Ajax) but was shit in Barcelona .

Kocsis And Puskas have incredible goal average in hungary. but not in real and Barcelona.

So i think they Puskas, Messi and cruyff and Kocsis were blessed for the team.

In fact, they were not so great.

Of course great players, but not ALL times greatests.

StillLearning, thanks for the Puskas thread, he should been honestly discussed as one of the very greatest ever, a Top 4 Player in my opinion.

I'll furnish the gold standard proofs on Puskas, he absolutely deserves a top billing discussion.

I think the theory you explained in the first line could be correct, but the examples you give cover pretty different situations.
Ganso and Messi are the two extreme points and make your post a trolling essay, a poor one tbh.

I love how Brazilians have to put Hungarians down at every opportunity.

Nothing to do with the fact we have the better head to head record.

To say Puskás and Kocsis didn't do it in Spain is just weird. Puskás won the top scorer prize 4 times did he not? Scored 4 goals in the European cup final and then 3 against Benfica.

You are already in hell, mate.

156 goals in 180 games. For real Madrid.

This is the true Puskas.

A good player.

Nothing more than that.

Those 85 in 84 for hungary is pure luck.

Mérit of the team. Not his.

Hungary was a wonderful team.

Even Kocsis scored a lot.

For Barcelona Kocsis was worse than medíocre.

Just 42 goals in 70+ games.

Facts dont Care about your feelings.

Kocsis 42 goals for Barcelona. In 70 games. Ordinary.

Puskas only156 in 180 for real Madrid . Good number. But not top 4 of.world ALL times.

MajorGeorge is completely wrong.

Now leave my thread.

StillLearning, you don't need arguments with respect to Puskas, you need to look at the Big Picture with regards to Puskas. Kocsis is another story altogether.

Statistics and numbers begin only to tell the story of Puskas, there's a whole other realm that speaks of his tremendous influence outside of scoring feats and numbers. I'll parcel it down and simplify it so you can grasp his genius. One day at a time I'll come on this thread and contribute on his life's work. Tomorrow I'll begin telling his story.

Just Stupid Sayeth:

Puskás only scored 156 in 180 games, which is world class + the fact he was in his mid 30s after 2 years out when he was more obese than Tyson Fury was.

Meanwhile Pelé could never get hard. If there was any player who is assumed better than he was due his team, it would be Pelé.

Kocsis and Puskás were world class, ás was Czibor, Kubala, Nyers, Hidegkuti and many more.

What ever Just Stupid says, it'll never change that fact. Neither the fact Brazil will always be behind Hungary in football and porn. Nobody likes your geezerbirds. Meanwhile the literal biggest porn stars are all in Hungary. You may make good coffee but I don't drink coffee so I don't care.
