2. Asgeir Sigurvinsson (Stuttgart, Bayern Munchen, Lokeren, IBV)

3. Arnor Gudjohnsen (Bordeux, Anderlecht, Lokeren, Örebro
, Hacken, Valur, Stjarnan)

4. Eyjolfur Sverrisson (Hertha Berlin, Stuttgart, Besiktas, Tindastoll)

5. Eidur Gudjohnsen (Chelsea, PSV Eindhoven, Bolton, Valur, KR)

6. Atli Edvaldsson (Dortmund, Bayern Urdingen, KR, Valur)

7. Petur Petursson (Feyenoord, Hercules, KR)

8. Gudni Bergsson (Tottenham, Bolton, Valur)

9. Thorolfur Beck (Glasgow Rangers, St Mirren, KR)

10. Sigurdur Jonsson (Arsenal, Nottingham Forrest, Dundee, IA, FH)

Then there are so many. Agne Simonsson, Ove Kindvall, Ralf Edström, Tomas Brolin, Glenn Hysén (ex Liverpool captain), Stefan Pettersson, Henrik Larsson, Patrik Andersson, Anders Limpar, Torbjörn Nilsson... It's not fair... But Gre-No-Li, Nacka and Kurre is in a league of their own for me. And all were successful in Serie A. I wonder why the EPL is the prefered league in Sweden. We don't have any tradition at all there... (Except Hysén, Limpar and a few others...)

Wakky, How an earth can you forget Thomas Ravelli! :)
He's actually on my 11-20 positions...
But he could aswell be Nr.6 or something in this thing...quite honestly, it's impossible to make a list like this...
We have TOO many good players from the past and aswell in the present...

Denmark Top 5

(In no particular order)

Peter Schmeichel Two times goal keeper of the Year, won Euro 1992 with Denmark and saved a penalty from Van Basten in the semi final. His top years was in Man Utd. with the highlight by winning The Treble. Still going strong at 37 years of age in Aston Villa.

Michael Laudrup Maybe the best footballer to ever come out of Denmark. Spells at Lazio and Juventus, before making a world star out of him self at Barcelona and Real Madrid. A wonderful eye fro the game he controlled the offensive midfield and strikers like Stoichkov, Romario, Zamorano and Raul enjoyed loads of assists. Ended a fantastic carreer in France 98 World Cup where Denmark lost to Brazil in one of the best games of that world cup.

Harald Nielsen 'Guld'-Harald was the first real Danish star. A striker who was lethal in front of goal, still a perfect gentleman.

Preben Elkjær Maybe the best striker ever in Denmark. In Euro 1984 and World Cup 1986, Elkjær formed a deadly attack force with the young Michael Laudrup. Will always be remembered for great matches like Uruguay 6-1, USSR 4-2 and a fantastic coal against Belgium. The ever smiling Elkjær was loved all over the country and in 1987 he helped Verona win Lo Scudetto. Even today Danes long after a striker of Elkjær's qualities.

Allan Simonsen The little big player. Although short in size his talent talent was big. Voted Footballer of the year in 1977 and his impressive record shows that he has never missed a penalty.

Hallvar Thoresen
Tom Lund
Rune Bratseth
Erik Thorstvedt
Per Bredesen
Odd Iversen

:D

Do I have to start with all the clubs now? Bredesen played for AC Milan, Bratseth for Werder Bremen and Rosenborg, Thorstvedt for Viking and Tottenham, Iversen for Rosenborg and VIF, Thoresen played for Larvik Turn, Heerenveen, and was for a long time the star on PSV, he retired in 1988 after playing with Ruud Gullit a few years, Tom Lund played for Lillestrøm.
