The Anthem[MP3]

El Zaragoza va a jugar
el Zaragoza va a vencer
el Zaragoza va a luchar
por su afición.
Y los mañicos auparán
a los blanquillos del león
azul y blanco es el color del campeón.

Aúpa Zaragoza
arriba y a vencer
palmadas al viento
que gritan ganaréis.
La raza en el juego
nobleza y valor
bandera y orgullo
de nuestro Aragón.

La Romareda vibrará
y el cachirulo se alzará
como un gigante es el equipo aragonés.
El Zaragoza es la afición
con once grandes del balón
y una leyenda con trofeos
al mejor.

Aúpa Zaragoza
arriba y a vencer
palmadas al viento
que gritan ganaréis.
La raza en el juego
nobleza y valor
bandera y orgullo
de nuestro Aragón.

A ganar, a ganar
el Zaragoza va a ganar
A ganar, a ganar
el Zaragoza ganará
A ganar, a ganar
el Zaragoza va a ganar
A ganar, a ganar

WELCOME MESSAGE

Well, I want to welcome everybody to the new Official Thread. Since we have lost our forum due to the lack of support, though the admins contacted me to keep going with the job Cluny was doing for the last years, me and him decided not to re-open it at least during this season.

As most people know, we have been relegated from La Liga to 2nd Division. So at least for this year, we will run this smooth, reduced, lite Real Zaragoza thread so as all of you can get to know how our team is running during this year.

I have used most of the templates Cluny used to run in the forum, so you will find it very familiar. Nevertheless expect some new things as I am extremely clumsy with the graphs and that stuff.

Nothing else to say. We just hope you will be around and we can share with you the wins and (future) promotion of Real Zaragoza to La Liga.

Probably De Barros will be loaned, but I have to said as much as I have seen this young lad I am pretty excited. It's a shame we are allowed only 2 non-EU players, since Oliveira is a lock and Ewerthon recent matches have made a spot for him in the roster.

Also there is a rumor regarding Ayala. Zaragoza media states Agapito and Lendoiro are in talks for a swoop Ayala for Pablo Amo and Pablo Alvarez.

Unlike last relegation, This time Real Zaragoza players have a higher wages than few years ago which sweetens the staying at 2nd division.

Diego Milito is being payed around €3M/year as he had his contract renewed last summer. However, board promised him shall the right offer arrive, they would let him go. At the moment there have not been any relevant offer in the region of the €12-16M so the player has to stay.

I have heard clubs like Everton, Tottenham, Napoli and even Roma eventually asked for him, but I guess they do not find him attractive enough.
Valencia is also a club interested, but they have to sell some players first.

Also Marcelino -new coach- asked Agapito -owner- not to sell every striker. Finally It seams all of them are staying, which makes a terrific attacking line for the upcoming season.

Thanks for the praising words regarding Aragon and Zaragoza. I don't know if you knew it, but we are hosting an International Exposition between June and September. The city has been renewed and lots of facilities have been built for this event.

In my signature you could find information.

Cheers!

Aren't you having too many strikers right now?
Yes we have, but Arizmendi will play as winger, not as striker. Our coach said he wanted four wingers, and at the moment we only have two: Coemtrao and Arizmendi.

Nevertheless, It seems Zaragoza and Betis are close to agree a loan for the argentinian Caffa, who would arrive at Zaragoza for one season.

Argentinian Caffa seems to be really close to be loaned to Real Zaragoza.

Now, Marcelino García wants to add Jorge López from Racing. The deal seems to be almost finished for a fee of about €2M plus a loaned player.

LAST RUMOURS

Spanish media is reporting that Sergio García could be sold to Villareal.

Villareal is about to sold Santi Cazorla to Real Madrid, and would like to get García from Zaragoza.

As well, Valencia is bidding for Diego Milito. Both players could leave in the next day-hours

Also, I have read from a internet source that Real Zaragoza is ready to pay €9M for Valladolid goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo.

Real Zaragoza official website reports Betis and Zaragoza had reached an agreement for Caffa.

The player will be loaned for one season without any eventual buying clause.

So I guess this makes of him the fourth winger Marcelino wanted for the team: Coentrao, Arizmendi, Caffa and Songo'o.
Nonetheless I would still expect any other signing since Coentrao and Songo'o are too inexperienced and young.

Also there's still the Diego Milito and S.Garcia story. Cazorla will stay at Villareal, so I don't expect them to sign S.Garcia.
Diego Milito could be close to sign for Valencia, but I guess Valencia are not willing to pay more than €12M while Zaragoza want €15M at least.

Strange end of the week at Zaragoza. It seemed Diego Milito and S.García could end up in Valencia and Villareal due to Real Madrid signings of Villa and Cazorla, but finally nothing happened.

Now, Diego Milito seems to stay at Zaragoza, since Valencia do not have any money and they only wanted Milito on loan, so the argentinian will probably stay should Valencia not pay the 12-14 millions Zaragoza wants.

On the other hand, Sergio Garcia could be on his way to London, since Totenham is interested in him and could pay 10-12 euros for the spanish player.

Let's see what happen.
