Yesterday we played Helguera officially as a Sweeper. This is something completly diffrent then before. I wonder what you members at this board think Del Bosque should use. Yesterdays tactic or this one. Also, the Starting eleven is something we should discuss.

As our subs we all know Hierro will be back and take either of the D spots. And Balic might make it left and Geremi can play at any right position. Anelka and Mori would have to rotate or that sweeper tactic would include him.
Guti can rotate in the center (mostly with Helguera)

Also, i have heard Celta coach Fernandez is linked with the club, his contract expires after this season and he hasnt renewed it. This might happen if Del Bosque dont get any trophies his season (CL).
This is a nice rumor, since Fernandez has gained a lot of respect the past two years.

I think it's really to early to discuss tactics R&B. We have to wait for the season to end, see our new buys and then we can suggest something. Now it's pointless, cause we have barely 6 games left till the end of the season. AND THEN EURO 2000!!!!!!!!!

So, Roberto Carlos and Karembeu would be the wingers to defend, but they attack, when we need support in the attack. It is 2-0 to us, so we will defend the match. There is nothing to discuss of starting eleven.

In match Real-Bayern, Real used tactic 4-3-3 so why dont we use tactic 5-4-1? We cant use the tactic 4-4-2, cause Karanka and Salgado misses the next match.

Real&Barcafan, I cant see any real match when they play Primera. I can see only goals in Eurosport. Have you? 4-4-2 is Real`s standard tactic, but we have to use another`s too. 4-3-3 worked really good.

Helguera is not too deep. We have another good players in midfield(Redondo, Anelka, Savio, McManaman) and Helguera have to defend, because Karanka and Salgado(two first team defenders) have banned Bayern match.

EH? Raul, have you watched any MAdrid game beside the Man U and Bayern? the 4-4-2 Tactic is a bit standard for MAdrid.

I dont like it that Del Bosque is using that sweeper formation. That would make Salgado and Carlos midfielders. And the beuty with them is that they should be both in defence and attack. And Helguera is too deep back. He is OK as a defender (better the Kerambeu) but should be next to Redondo.

This is IMO the perfect tactci we can play. helguera won't be a sweeper, but he'll be supporting the back four. My biggest problem has to be the left wing. Savio, Balic or perhaps Guti??? I'll go with Savio, but??

The topic is abuot which tactic Madrid will be stuck to. Its not good to have diffrent tactis in every game. Look at Barca, they lost 4-1 when they played 3-4-3 against Val.
And Alaves is the perfect example of what could happen if the team knows the system perfectly. In 3 or more years. "Mane", the coach of ALaves has used the same tactic and their place in the table says it all...

Why do you think Geremi is a problem!!!??? IMO this is one of our smallest problems! We have two world class players in this area AKA Geremi and Salgado - it's great we can always rotate between them. I know Geremi is more of a midfielder, but let's face it Salgado isn't renoened for his defensive skills either GO GEREMI!! My only problem in the side is to play: Savio, Guti or Baljic? What do we do?

I'd stick with Savio for the time being as we all know what he can do. The only problem he has is that he is not strong enough and sometimes shoots when a pass would be the better option.
Geremi at right back can not be complained with as I have had questions about Salgado as a defender all season.
It's true our right side is of little problem as Ger and Salgado can play at rb and Macca and Ger can play at right midfield. This means that all the right sided players are on form.

Agreed 100%. So you go with Savio, I think it's a good idea, but well, Baljic might be an option too? And one thing I noticed on wednesday - Baljic and Savio BOTH played at the same time - the Bosnian turned into a free striking role. Kewl huh?

I mean the thing is that we have a lot of good players who we will have to leave out and any case that ismade will holds it's merits. I couldn't argue with people who say we should drop Savio for Bajlic or Geremi for Salgado. It's a nice situation to be in and lets hope that we WIN in Munich.

I heve seen Karanka play on the wings before but face it, the biggest problem is (besides for a lame center-defence) the left defender.
Dorado is the official solution but hey. That kid sucks.

NONONONO be optimistic... look at our team... look at our forwards, our midfield... maybe our defence is screwed and i think thats where bayern are going to look at but no worries.. think about it... I want them to win just to shove it in their faces.. but even if they lose, 2-1,3-2,1-0,1-1,2-2, whatever they are still through!!
