Notice that not ONE of the Libertadores Teams from the Pacific side of Conmebol has made it into the Semis......
Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia have failed to put through a Team into the final stages of the Competition.
Time to realize that the Occidental part of our Continent again falls behind the Atlantic Nations of S America.
Nothing new, but when will the trend ever revert ????

I thought America Cali and catolica were the best representative s of the Pacific this time around and they were unlucky not to advance further.:depress:

Doesnt anyone here wonders what is it that makes the Easterners so much BETTER than their Western Foes ??

Is it their DIET
Is it their PROFESSIONALISM
Is it in their BLOOD ???

Another WC without Chile and I'll move to the Atlantic !! :dielaugh:

I believe it has to do organizational structure and tradition. Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay have been playing the game in an organized way for much longer than the Pacific side countries. At least in peru, Ecuador and Colombia, football did not become trully profesional until much later.

I think that South America also has one of the smallest populations.

Its at least smaller than Europe, Asia, & Africa.

Uruguay and Paraguay have better teams than China with only 5.000.000 people...

Last time we had a 80% tunr ot ratio for the second phase!

This time might be different.....but i hope the same turnout will occur.

PLus we might get 3 teams in the semis.... Paaguay can get there with not so much stress.....if they play what they know they can get there. Plus some of there players are very experienced.....Gamarra, Arce, Gavilan.........

and the other can be a show down Brazil x Argentina!

Considering that Argentina has only managed to beat us once in Wc history....you allknow who's going ot the final!;) :D :D
