Ferrari Holds Inter Talks
Former Roma defender Matteo Ferrari could be set for a free transfer move to Inter after his agent confirmed that discussions are ongoing with the Nerazzurri.

The 29-year-old signed for Roma from Parma in 2004 but his time at the club has been rocky, and last season he only really played when there were injuries to first choice centre backs Philippe Mexes and Juan.

With his Roma contract now expired, Ferrari has decided to move on to pastures new, and the free agent has been linked with a host of a clubs, including Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Inter.

The most likely destination now appears to be the latter after the defender’s agent admitted that discussions with the Nerazzurri were ongoing.

“Ferrari won’t be going to Sampdoria,” Moreno Roggi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“The negotiations have stalled.

“There are discussions underway with Inter, but we will have to see how things develop.”

Ferrari has won 11 caps for Italy but he would face fierce competition at Inter for a starting place, given the presence in defence of the likes of Ivan Cordoba, Marco Materazzi, Walter Samuel and Christian Chivu.

Gudjohnsen had said something really positive about mourinho. I knwo this isn't a transfer rumor, but the press would surely jump at this quote and transform it into some thing else.

Gudjohnsen? what do you guys think about him at inter.

I think he's in the "Don't need him" catagory but would he improve inter or fit the system?

Guddy is one guy with great professionalism, but he had problems breaking into Mourinho's first team then, with all those stars. He's on a slide after he joined Barca.. a return to mid epl club for continuation of starting-games will do him good.

I m not sure if he could be of any use to us, with so many strikers around..

Recalcati claims that everyone has reported Oriali's words incorrectly. According to him Oriali said the market is closed for me. He claims we will first sell some players now and then buy.

This will happen according to the "genius":

Burdisso to Fiorentina
Pele to Porto(Loan)
Stankovic to Juventus
Crespo to Torino
Suazo either to Bologna or abroad(Loan)

He says Quaresma will arrive and one of aqualani/lampard. He says we still want Frank but if he decides to stay at chelsea we will go for aqualani and will be willing to insert adriano in the deal.

Adriano per Aquilani?

28 Luglio 2008
