Mexico got lucky that they're playing us in Mexico in March. If it was in the USA, the match would be played in the 20? weather of Columbus!

Tough start for Mexico in final World Cup qualifiers :blind:

RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Mexico will start the final stage of CONCACAF's marathon World Cup qualifying competition with a tough fixture in Costa Rica.

The Mexicans, who have so far faced only modest opposition from the Caribbean, travel to San Jose on February 9.

Mexico have played eight qualifiers, winning them all and scoring 45 goals against Dominica, St Kitts & Nevis, St Vincent & Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.

But they are likely to find life much tougher against Costa Rica, who Mexico failed to beat in the 2002 qualifiers when they crashed 2-1 at the Azteca stadium and drew 0-0 away.

The fixture list, announced on CONCACAF's official website, sends the United States to Port of Spain to open their campaign against Trinidad & Tobago while Panama and Guatemala, who have already gone further than expected, meet in Panama City.

The United States also travel for their second game on the weekend of March 26/27 when they visit Mexico for what should prove their toughest fixture.

The six teams play each other twice with the top three qualifying directly for the finals in Germany in 2006.

The fourth-placed side will play off against a team from the Asia region.

I'm worried about having to go to Mexico so quickly. We have a very winnable game in the T&T, but then we have to come straight back and take on Mexico away.

That'll be a very difficult game so quickly. A point will be more like a win.

I'm guessing that it's in Mexico? Should be an interesting match, I think Mexico will take them down.
