I was betting on the final France-Croatia when I realized that one of the possible bets was called "arbitro insensibile". Yeah, you can bet on the referee of France-Croatia giving a decisive penalty after minute 85, the way it happened in a game you all remember. :D
Buffon, everyone is so "insensibile"! :howler:

Speaking of whom, Buffon gave away a penalty on his PSG debut lol. Bit harder to play when refs aren't by your side... ;)

Good luck to him when PSG play juve next season. He will need it considering how many times Cristiano banged him.

Perin will probably play though. If they sign Darmian I'm sure he'll get plenty of game time, as will Bernardeschi.

On a purely quality-based level: They reportedly have a deal for Diego Godin, the best centre-back in the world.

Perin vs Scenzney I agree, it could well be that Perin plays instead.

Darmian though is garbage and I hope they complete that sale, just to go along with the other idiot they bought last year in De Sciglio.

Bonucci gets hostile Juventus reception
Football Italia

Leonardo Bonucci was whistled by a section of Juventus fans as he arrived at the club’s headquarters ahead of a return from Milan.

The centre-back joined the Rossoneri last summer in a €42m transfer, a shock transfer which drew the ire of the Bianconeri faithful.

Now just 12 months later he will return to the Old Lady, with Mattia Caldara going to San Siro in exchange.

According to Italian news agency ANSA, there were no fans to greet Bonucci as he arrived at Caselle airport.

The defender did meet some fans before his medical, taking selfies and signing autographs, but he received a more hostile reception at Continassa.

ANSA reports he was whistled by fans, with one shouting “wash your mouth out!” in reference to his celebration after scoring against Juve in Turin last season.

Fans waiting outside also shouted “we’re here for Ronaldo, where is Ronaldo?”.

:D

Serves Bonucci right. Dude used to say he was an Inter supporter back in his Bari days, then when he joined juve he denied that to appease the gobbi fans and said he was always a juventino, and then left juve to a historical rival and celebrated scoring against juve. A mercenary, basically.

P.S. What's the average age of juve's CBs now? They really are trying hard to copy us. Our Treble winning team had old CBs..

I have witnessed the day that Tuttosport celebrate a goal scored against juve. :D

Talk about taking the Ronaldo kissing up to unprecedented levels.

Great goal of course, but it's like a guy praising his wife's ex husband for being good in bed after watching a sex video for the ex couple back when they were together. Just weird.

MONACO -- It was all set up. A private helicopter to whisk him and his entourage from Turin to Monaco in around 40 minutes. Half a dozen seats reserved for his entourage, including his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, who had rushed back from the Venice Film Festival.

Wealthy Monegasques (and those who merely summer there) for once reduced to waiting patiently behind barriers at the Grimaldi Forum, like mere civilians. His agent, Jorge Mendes, and his wife, dutifully in attendance in between late transfer deals.

And then came the call. Or, more likely, two calls. One -- a leak, according to multiple sources -- informing Cristiano Ronaldo that he had not won the UEFA Men's Player of the Year (that honour would belong to Luka Modric). The other a call to Juventus officials, including CEO Beppe Marotta, who were waiting for him at the Meridien Beach hotel, a brief walk from the Grimaldi Forum. This was just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, with the draw and Player of the Year ceremony set to begin at 6 p.m.

Ronaldo wasn't getting on the helicopter to Nice. Which meant he wouldn't be getting on the helicopter to Monaco. Which meant he would not be on the red carpet outside the Grimaldi Forum and he certainly would not be at the awards ceremony.

The Juve contingent huddled together and tried to come up with a plan. Some of his people -- friends, advisors and folks who have known him for years -- tried to convince him too. When it became obvious that he was not going to change his mind, they advised UEFA that he'd be a no-show.

"No [he did not tell us]," said UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin on Friday morning. "We got the information from Juventus that he's not coming and that's it."

On October 22nd Italian state tv, Rai, will show an investigation into Juve's shady dealings with the Mafia and it apparently covers high level Juve board members.

A new investigation into Italian football but there is always one common denominator. Strange that.

Sponsors 'concerned' by Ronaldo case
Football Italia

Nike and EA Sports are “closely monitoring” the rape allegations against Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, they confirmed in statements.

Police in Las Vegas have re-opened the 2009 investigation after Kathryn Mayorga came forward with new information.

Her lawyers held a press conference last night, warning they could release key pieces of evidence to the public.

She reached an out-of-court settlement with Ronaldo in 2010, receiving $375,000 to never go public with the allegations.

“We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation,” said Nike in a statement.

EA Sports also have a sponsorship deal with Ronaldo and gave a similar statement to the Associated Press.

“We have seen the concerning report that details allegations against Cristiano Ronaldo. We are closely monitoring the situation, as we expect cover athletes and ambassadors to conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EA's values.”

Juventus released their own statement of sorts, as it was only in the form of two tweets, never appearing on their club website.

“Cristiano Ronaldo has shown in recent months his great professionalism and dedication, which is appreciated by everyone at Juventus.

“The events allegedly dating back to almost 10 years ago do not change this opinion, which is shared by anyone who has come into contact with this great champion.”

The tone of the Juventus comment has received a great deal of criticism – including from this site – and is markedly different from the one taken by Nike and EA Sports.

Tax evasion, rape..

Pretty shitty as a person, Cristiano.

Not forgetting being a classless turd when he skipped the UEFA and FIFA ceremonies just because he didn't win while Modric - his ex teammate with whom he won titles - did.

Small time.

According to Repubblica, Cristiano is convinced that all his accusations and the awards that weren’t given to him are part of the same plot against him from Real Madrid

Well, if there's one guy who you'd think genuinely believes it, it's Ronaldo.

We can't know how the issue was revived though. #metoo happenings seem to be the most likely cause/motivation but that doesn't necessarily mean that no other party was involved. This is why we go by evidence, Tony.

So effectively he also thinks that everything he won at Real was also down to Perez pulling the strings?

Anyway he is at the right club now. They also think they don't do anything wrong and others are framing them.
