Siena is great! Very good addition into our  Serie A. They have a pretty exciting squad, many possitions well covered. But in these days- their beautiful squad is changing a bit. Not just eartquake but it's interesting to those few news. I wonder what Papadopulo will choose for the next matches.

They often played like this: Rossi - Cirillo, Mignani, Argilli
, Cufré - Taddei, D'Aversa, Ardito, Guigou (Lazetic) - Chiesa, Flo

But...

Siena has got into their squad 3 interesting additions: Junior (Parma), Vergassola (Torino) and Roque Junior (AC Milan/Leeds). Few players are in-form, few others are injured.

So how will the 'new Siena' look like?

Goalkeeper:
No change here, Rossi is the no.1 and I think it's quite enough.

Defence:
Argilli and Mignani played often together in the centre (sometimes Cufré but the Argentinian was much better on LB) but will the the situation be changed? Roque Junior comes to play, no doubt. The second Junior comes to play too. But does he come to midfield or to defence? Will he push out Lazetic and Guigou, or the great Cufré is set for the bench? According to Datasport- Papadopulo wants Junior in midfield but that's just because Taddei and Lazetic aren't ready for the match in San Siro with Inter. So I don't know. Juarez (Cirillo), Roque Junior, Mignani, Cufré is IMO very probable option. I think it would be a crime to move Cufré back to the centre and switch from Argilli-Mignani to completely new duo Cufré-Roque Junior. Junior (that one from Parma) is IMO set for midfield. What do you think?

Midfield:

Taddei, Vergassola and D'Aversa at the moment without a doubt in the team. But the left wing? With arrival of Junior, Guigou has no chance to play LB again so his only chance is LM. But was Junior got to sit on the bench. I don't think so. Duo of great wingers Guigou and Lazetic is set for the bench. Oh my god they have much better bench than we have .

Attaco:

Flo with who? Who would you preffer? It's quite probable that Ventola-Chiesa has become benchers since Menegazzo plays well. Do you see the quality?

This team is able to stay where they stand in the table or even improve their possition. Siena is great and will be great. The reason, why I started this thread, is just that I want to know what do you think? Who would you preffer? Add something because I'm no specialist, maybe their reasons are clear and I don't see it.

SIENA

Rossi great keeper, Mignani the captain is so good,Argilli too, Cufrè and Guigou are sooooooo good and i can't understand why Roma don't have trust in them!
Menegazzo seems good:)rolleyes: but not in penalty:D ), Taddei in last game was not so good:rolleyes: but he's a:star: .
Chiesa is near to leave because have "fight" with the coach:D ...

I voted Taddei

Rq Junior is a horrible deal, he is a terrible player and I hope Siena realise soon!!!

Junior and Vergassola are nice acquisitions and can improve an already steady Siena!

IMO the best player among the new ones is Vergassola (former Samp captain :proud: ).
Ary, in the last season Verga has been one of the best players who had the misfortune to play for Torino. ;)

Taddei is a great player going on to something bigger when time comes. That's for sure.

Siena's got a squad with a good mix of both talent and experience. What surprised we is that Flo is doing do well in Serie A. He's no superstar but a good addition to a club of Siena's size.

Lazetic is another good player and I was disappointed he didn't sign with Lazio after he spent half the season on loan with us. :( He is quality.

Where is the fool who said that Milan bought Roque Junior to leave him on the bench as a punishment for the win of the WC?

Roque Junior has to be one of the crappiest defenders ever seen in serie A. Yesterday he conceded everything he could to Adriano...

I always hated Roque Junior. But I thought that Siena knew what they did and believed...but Roque Junior was scandal yesterday.

FORZA ARGILLI

...or Cufré

Well I don't care anyway, we are about to face them soon.

Taddei is an interesting case. When he played in Brasil he was NOBODY. I'm not kidding or exxagerating... he was an invisible squad player for Palmeiras, and when he left he wasn't missed at all by the coach or the fans. When I first saw him playing in Serie A, I actually laughed at the absurdity of his presence there ("what an Euro passport won't do!", I thought) – until I saw how much he improved. :eekani: Is it something that they put in his food when he arrived in Italy? I don't know. :undecide: But it was certainly a shock to see Taddei actually playing well. :mute:

Maybe it's an alien impersonating Taddei, like in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" :googly:... when he was in the Brasilian league, he definitely wasn't this competitive. Which makes him an exception – there are guys who shine in here and continue to shine when they move abroad (like Zico and Kaka), guys who shine here but fail when they move abroad (like Alex Alves) and then there are the rare cases where a complete nobody becomes a respected player elsewhere... like Luis Oliveira (the guy who played for the Belgium NT) and now Taddei. I wonder what happened to transform a mediocre workhorse into a decent player...
