Of course I think this is excellent choice from Donadoni... I believe Montolivo could be the 1 name who is dropped, even if I hope not. I would say Quagliarella should not be called, personally.

No complaints from me except I'd have called Gamberini instead of Matrix.

I would have called Materazzi, just for charisma purposes. He has been a member of the Italy squad for so many years now, that it would have been unfair and maybe stupid to not call him suddenly for the tournament... besides he still hasnt let Italy down since 2002. I would say, that Gamebrini could have been called somewhere, but Donadoni wanted just 7 defenders, and of course the others have been in the squad more than him. Gamberini for WC 2010 or for this if there is an injury :)

perfect list, don't have one complaint. Maggio and Gamberini have no business playing for Italia when they haven't even played a CL match yet.

Materazzi on pure footballing terms shouldn't have been called up, but I agree with you, Deano.

From the list, I would drop Quagliarella for sure. But I don't think it'll be him.

I think it'll be between Cassano and Montolivo,

So who would you guys drop? For me it is Quagliarella or Perrotta, most likely Quagliarella, as I am 100% sure Perrotta will be there.

I belive Cassano or Montolivo will be the 1 dropped, unfortunately.

Cassano will start. Donadoni wants to win.

Montolivo will be dropped, or Aquilani will be injured putting on his boots the first day:howler: ... and Montolivo will stay.

0 complaints from me! I'm so happy with the squad called up, Donadoni surprised me but finally, in a good way :pp

The player that should be dropped is Quagliarella but it will probably be Montolivo or it could be Quagliarella, who knows..........

More than happy to see Cassano there of course. And now I'm more confident of our chances and REALLY looking forward to the Euro's! :)

I was expecting the worse considering some of Donadoni's past squad selections but Donadoni came through

Oh yeah, it could be Aquilani as well. As much as it sucks to see that happen, Aquilani just isn't doing enough to convince him.

Buffon

Zambrotta-Cannavaro-Barzagli-Chiellini

De Rossi-Pirlo-Ambrosini

Cassano-Toni-Del Piero

No chance of that. Too important a player. Who else is going to miss all the chances in front of goal?

I predict now Cassano is called to start and play a major role in the side. His moment has arrived.

Is Oddo injured or he has just sucked too much this season? I haven't watched Milan a lot lately.
I wish it was Gamberini instead of Materazzi or even Perrotta but you can't everything. :)

Indeed it seems there is no need for 8 midfielders... it will be Montolivo or Aquilani, but I would have hoped Perrotta.
