no need to buy and midfielders
inamoto is good partner for vieira
fukn good tackler... goes in hard and almost always comes out wif da ball
he is also effective when going forward... his runs are as good as ljungberg's..... maybe
??????Swiftwilly, I don't think you really get my point...............
Inamoto released by arsenal what do you think

Why , we can still loan him out or sell him whatever and it very surprising bcoz after his good performance ?? still a question and need some explanation from Mr.Wenger
Seems an odd one to me. Surely after his world cup we'd want to cash in on him rather than release him....

I read that we'd made an agreement with him before the world cup began - which was a very clever move by mr wenger i must say. :fero:
There's a thread on Inamoto with more responses already, try posting there.

Inamoto

Inspirational piece of business. Buy a player for 4 million, let him play in the reserves, release him before the world cup with three years left on his contract.

Now it turns out he's been one of the best players at the World Cup, and you could have got 6 Million at least from PSV/Perugia/Feyernoord/Atalanta.

I take my hat off to you Mr Wenger.
I doubt that he has actually been released from his contract. One piece of news from Ananova or ITV, and suddenly, it's confirmed. There are no quotes from those that matter, the references to dates are vague, and there seems to be no reason for releasing him. Personally, I think it's nonsense. Wenger can't even sign the paperwork to release him, since he's in Japan right now!
Few points.

Actually the information came from the FA, you see they need to be told for registration purposes. The news sites took the source from them.

If you have read the reports you will know that it was signed and sealed BEFORE the World Cup.

Add to this the fact that Wenger looked very sheepish when discussing Inamoto during an interview for Japanese TV and Inamoto making noises about signing for a club from Europe or within the UK.
What the hell is going on?

Arsene states that Ina's future is not settled. Ina hints that he will attempt to break into the first team next season. Both after the free transfer was supposedly agreed.

Contradictory statements released by Premier League. One confirms his departure. The other denies the first statement was ever made.

It is highly un-Arsenal like to behave in this way. As for the Premier League, it is not their place to confirm transfer activity to the press before the club does, and, to my knowledge, they have never, ever, ever done so before.

Add to that the fact that an Inamoto free would be just plain stupid (merchandise: KER-CHING!), and this whole story doesn't quite add up.
wait wait
i take mah previous comment back
now that im thinking properly.....
where did this news come from?
im sure that if arsenal had decided to release him before the world cup then some news would have come out
and i dont think wenger would be that stupid to let him leave for nothing with just one season in england after trailing him for like 2-3 yrs before that

i think this is all bullshiit
This is bull****.

THere's no reason to release him. Even if he played like crap, Arsenal still can make money from selling him.
In fact, he is even one of the best player in the WC. And still 22. Why would Wenger release him for nothing?

What a crappy news. Just a rumor I guess.
i hope milan can snatch him
btw is he a dm or am
Inamoto is DM who used to be a striker, so he can defend and score some nice goals at the same time.
Inhamoto Going This Month

i think this is a big topic that deserves a whole thread to itself.
inhamoto, the star of japan in worlc cup 2002.
it was a big achievement with what he has done and propelling japan most likely into the next phase and maybe even furthur.
he has arisen and many clubs look forward and keen in him.

BUT
i read that wenger is releasing inhamoto at the END OF THIS MONTH!
what is worse, that it is a FREE TRANSFER!!

what is wenger thinking?!?!?!
seriously, even the shock of inhamoto was leaving was big, what pissed me off was it was a free transfer!

does anyone know the why this happening??

i think it might be because japanese fans are pissed at wenger for not playing their star last year.

how do you guys feel about this big issue?

I have to say i have been very impressed with this man's skills in the two WC matches so far :star:

can gareth or wakks delete this
what the hell is going on..
lets carry out our own investigations about this claim
i like to think its [email protected]#$#
but many sources do point that he is going to go...

support :
1. many numorous sites say this. soccernet.com etc.

Actually the information came from the FA, you see they need to be told for registration purposes. The news sites took the source from them.
2.that is right. maybe wenger signed the release before world cup?

3. wenger hasnt denied it.
4. ina has been looking for a move after no success last year.

Against :

1. wenger and ina has not said so
2. Not on official arsenal website
3. un reliable sources.

What I mean is that the team might let Vieira go to some other team and let this young star have his chance. I think it is possible. New blood is always needed to fresh up the team. Inamoto is very young player and Wenger can make him the next Vieira. I watched the Japan match and he is that good
dont mean any harm
if i did not understand your point

looking at what you said...
viera isnt going to another team so their will be no place for inhamoto to replace viera
and new blood isnt always good
I prefer experience. e.g seaman over wright.

but i do agree that jun jun is a good youngplayer
seems he might beleaving
Inamoto is crap no way does he deserve a spot in our starting line up or in our squad he sholdn't be on our books he aint that great and there were many other japanese players that played as well as him.

He is big
Too small
Too slow

Too bad Inamoto you wont get a run with us.

There are a lot of flaws in his game, Edu is our next prodigy he has huge potential.
