yeah I read the same too. Feyenoord hasn't confirmed it yet though but in all likelihood, we probably will sell Smoli to either Dortmund or HSV. I guess Dortmund need to sell too before buying Ebi but if there was a club where he'd go to, it'd be Dortmund where he's really appreciated by Van Marwijk (unlike Gullit). I'll be happy for the boy too if he finds happiness too footballingwise since he's never let Feyenoord down either.

According to the NOS, Dortmund has officially signed Ebi Smolarek. It seems we'll be receiving around 1 million euro's for him.

I wish Ebi all the best, another youthproduct sold for peanuts, but hey at least he didn't go on another bosman.

Personally I don't think there's too much between SMolarek and Castelen. THe last one probably has more explosive pace but other than that they've got more or less the same game.

Anyways I wish Ebi all the best and hope Bert van Marwijk ( roud: ) will continue to do as well as possible with the resources he has.

I actually long for good ol' Bert sometimes, but then I think back to his 11-man uber alles approach and I quickly snap out of it.

Snoyl and Zuiverloon, they're my hope now, I'd like for a midfielder to break through, but who, Magrao perhaps? True, seems like he's playing in the middle at Dortmund and looking at him playing now, despite many of his goals coming from rebounds and tap-ins, he definitely doesn't seem any lesser than Buffel was with us(now what's happened to him?! :wth: )

Dude, I remember Smolarek getting a couple of fair go's on the right for Feyenoord. And he only played medriocre to poor(matig tot slecht). Now he's suddenly flourishing and you're saying that you knew all a long he was an unpolished diamond? he only showed that for an absolute fraction of a second at Feyenoord, but never really anything special. vdGun now also has a contract at Dortmund. But'll always be the player who couldn't cut it at a consitent level for Ajax.

He's getting Kezmanlike and if he continues doing so, I bet you'll see him got for 8 or 9m before too long he's got an ideal team now to do well with too as Dortmund play a lot on the counter from what I heard. Ideal for a now razorsharp small player like Ebi.

Smolarek macht gegen Berlin den Unterschied

2 goals yesterday making it 11 goals in 13 games for the polnische WM-Bomber :shades:
First one was from a long ball from Klinge where he scored after first hitting Fiedler, the Hertha goalie and the 2nd one was a header from a Rosicky freekick near the corner flag.

Also good to see Bert v Marwijk too playing 4-3-3 with Buckley and Odonkor on the wings in the Bundesliga. We can be proud of the guys. Dortmunds average age yesterday was 23 I heard, also the youngest in the whole Bundesliga and 5 of the players on their bench hadn't played a game for them yet in the Bundesliga! yet they're 7th and contenders for a UEFA cup spot with a bit of luck.

Your old boy Pantelic btw looked a skillful player but a bit of an Eijkelkamp in his finishing yesterday. Didn't really like him.
