Official: Donadoni appointed at Bologna
By Football Italia staff
Bologna have officially appointed former Italy CT Roberto Donadoni as the club’s new Coach.
The Rossoblu sacked Delio Rossi this afternoon following a poor start to the season, which has returned just six points from 10 games.
It was reported this morning that Donadoni, who spent last season at Parma, would be his replacement, and the appointment has now been made official.
“Roberto Donadoni is the new Coach of Bologna,” the Rossoblu announced in a statement on their official website.
“He will take charge of his first training session at Casteldebole tomorrow afternoon.
"He has signed a contract until June 30 2017. A presentation Press conference is due tomorrow at 17.30 (local time, 16.30 GMT)."
The former midfielder admitted last week that he was looking for another Coaching role, and will now attempt to turn Bologna’s fortunes around, starting at home to Atalanta this weekend.
Glad he got a job, he demonstrated his ability as a manager for us and was a true gentleman in all the events of last year.http://www.football-italia.net/74946/official-donadoni-appointed-bologna
I think he'll do well. Too bad it just have to be (B)ologna.
Parma fanzine interviewed a visiting Indonesian fan. I'm jealous and proud :')
I'm surprised that they went for him more than the other way. Not saying he's a bad coach, just that Italian coaches in England don't seem to get a good time of it, ok Ranieri is doing amazingly right now, but that's my perception.Guidolin in as Swansea coach, bit of a shock.
It's a great chance for him to earn, and get a new experience.Guidolin is a great coach but this seems like a massive risk. I was still hoping he would come back here in the near future (he said he would).
In case you've not noticed, FM16 is 50% off on Steam. I haven't managed to find a Serie D database yet but I'm still lookingCool. I rarely find the time for it other than a few weeks in January when work is quiet but I was hoping to give it a crack. Would be quite the challenge.
