- I bet Theyll still call Diogo in the next few years (but I hope not)
- Also maybe some Sub 17s will join.
- Also Muslera seems good to me.
- and also any new star that we could come up with for that time (We always discover someone amazing at the copa america or during the qualifyers)

What about Mauro Aldave?

Off-Topic: By the way, Bolso4, Nacional won the Intercontinental Cup and Copa Libertadores in 1980, not in 1981.

Here's who I would add to Bolso's list:

DEFENDERS
Valdez - Treviso (Ita)
Bize - Cagliari (Ita)

MIDFIELDS (Attack and Defend)
Canobbio - Celta Vigo (Spa)
Olivera - Juventus (Ita)

FORWARDS
Chevanton - Moncao (Fra)
Hornos - Valladolid (Spa) (needs time to regain form)
Peralta - Flamengo (Bra) (then again, maybe not)

And let's not forget Recobita, Von der Putten, Scorza, Figueroa

It seems Ribas's son played really well in the Cup Juventude just won.

I haven't seen him yet.

I am never worried about talent. We will always produce it. What I worry about is organization.

I didn't see the match, but indeed he is very good. I hope is not the type of player that can't play at his level in the NT. He has meny resources, and a great control of the ball, with proper chances, you will have aplayer a la best Raul, Villa, D:Milito style.

Bad organization, leading to premature transfers, bad pitches, monopolic agents, excessive influence of TV, etc...etc..all lead to fewer talents in the future Seba.

If Pekerman didn't managed our youngsters, and organized taht area. We could continue in the trend of Merlo's Youth NTs, punching rival's instead of playing, and scouting only in big clubs from Buenos Aires.

Here and in Brazil being not as much disorganized as Uruguay is nowdays, disorganization leaded anyway to fewer talents, and worse, not permiting possible talents to mature in a proper way.

I know you were refering to the old axioma that instead of Euro policy of creating talents, in SA we just discover them, and this axioma has a lot of true.

But sadly is true either that bad organization leads too to fewer talents, no matter they will still appear for sure.

yes,in perspective, but if he plays so little in france i think he will never fit the NT.
more dudes:
defense:ribaír rodríguez (danubio) este es lateral!
ariosa (defensor) un lateral izquierdo! :dazed: :)
williams martínez (ex defensor, west brom) centerback
ithurralde (defensor) stopper or right midfielder
midfield:ezquerra (river plate) a young bengoechea.he learned all his moves, since bengoechea is river's second coach.
a.aguiar (rampla.now tiro argentina,another bengoechea)
c.aguiar(brother,liverpool montevideo)
strikers:figueroa (liverpool)
alfaro (liverpool)

I dont think WIlliam Martinez has much of a chance playing in the NT (I think hes already a sub at West Brom).
- How many of these are Sub 17: (just Figueroa?)

_____________________________________________________

SUMMARY
Goalies- We are doing better than Argentina IMO (have 2 wonder keepers while they struggle with 1)
Defence- Great Center D's (though we lack subs for them) and almost NO World Class Left and Right Defenders (We need some talent to break out)

Mid- Looking great.

Forward- Also looking great.

It's the D that is the problem.

But anyways, there is so much to choose from and im glad for it.
For Now Id go with (if they were 100%)

4-3-3 (ala Tabarez)
------------------------------Carini
???(Need someone who can go up)---Lugano---Godin------D.Rodriguez
-------------Garcia-----------
-----------Recoba---------C.Rodriguez----------
----Estoyanoff------Forlan--------Chevanton/V.Sanchez/R.Nunez/Castro

We have a huge problem with our Right D.

Diogo will stay there..
He will be loaned out from Real Madrid and will improve.. There is no better right back going forward in Uruguay and remember that before River Plate (ARG) he was never a right back..

The kid is imroving and at 21 will only get better training with the best in the world at the moment.. I'd rather have Diogo who is training with Roberto Carlos,Beckham,Cicinho,Zidane,Ronaldo and the rest of the best.. Than any other right back in years to come..

I remember the first time Diogo was ever put at right back back, now that was really sad.. U-23 tournament in Chile, with Carrasco as coach, we debuted against Chile and they just danced around him..
But looking back at the Copa America games (Brazil,Argentina, Paraguay) and a few Qualifying games, he has come very far, and will only get better..

That would be my ideal team for the first game of the qualifiers next year.. But we all know how much that will change by then..
