New addition added :proud: Libor Kozak signed for Lazio :proud:

Kozak Delighted With Lazio Switch

New Lazio signing, Libor Kozak, is delighted with his move to the Italian club and he cannot wait to get started with his Italian adventure.

His current club, Slezsky Fc Opava, announced the move on their website and the Czech under-21 international has signed a five-year deal with Lazio who are believed to have paid €1.2m.

“Moving to Lazio is a dream come true,” Kozak told Sportovní Noviny.

“I knew that there were other offers but the Lazio one convinced more than the others.

“I decided to accept the offer from Italy. This will be a massive learning curb and a great experience for the future.

“I cannot wait to start and to fight for a place in the first team.”

Kozak hit the net 11 times for the Czech second division side last term.

No doubt he will be hoping to improve on that figure in Serie A next season as his new side look to emulate the glory days of times gone by.

Marek Jankulovski scored the 1:0 in the 4:1 win over Juventus in the Tropheo Berlusconi (just some friendly).

Grygera Pleased To Score Against Genoa Again

The Bianconeri are now top of the Serie A, following their stunning victory against Genoa last night. The club now have 24 points from 12 rounds of football, to sit equal on points with Inter, who are still to play Palermo this weekend.

In his second season with the club, Juve defender Zdenek Grygera opened the scoring for the ‘Old Lady’, as he got his name onto the scoresheet after just six minutes of play.

That goal was to be just his second for the club, with his first also coming against Genoa last season, in a match that ended 2-0 in favour of the Bianconeri.

After the match, Grygera made some comments about his season to date, and his thoughts regarding the contest: “I was lucky to benefit from a nice assist tonight, and I continued my good form this year.

“I am content with how I have been playing, and I showed that again tonight, by not only scoring a goal, but by setting up another,” he added.

“The performance of the whole team has been outstanding, and the mentality of everyone is really positive,” Grygera continued.

“I am very happy at Juventus at the moment, and I must say that amongst my team mates, Nedved is the person who helps me the most, and so I must thank him,” he concluded.

Juve will be hoping that Palermo get the better of Inter this weekend, to ensure that they are still leading the competition at the completion of the round.

Grygera - 8.0: Outstanding performance from the Czech international. Opened the scoring with an excellent individual effort, and also delivered the cross for Amauri's goal.
:strong:

Nedved - 6.0: Similar assessment to Marchionni down the other flank. Never stopped running, but did not contribute too much offensively.

Mazuch has asked to be sold in january, while Hable doesn't seem to be considered as a player of any future... what a career did both in Fiorentina.

He's right in asking for a move, he needs to play and develop now, ideally for a lower Seria A team like Cagliari or Reggina, useless to sit on the bench or play in junior league

Nedved Eyes Champions League Final With Juventus

The Czech midfielder wants to lift the Champions League trophy as he aims for European glory...

Juventus veteran Pavel Nedved insists his side can reach the Champions League final this year.

Claudio Ranieri's side have raised their game in Europe and they are leading Group H, having already qualified for the next phase on matchday four.

This could be Nedved's final crack at winning the European cup and the Czech star wants it after having missed out in 2003.

"I don't regret missing the Manchester final as it is all destiny and I am happy as things are," Nedved told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

"I am happy with what I have done and It's impossible to go back in time. I look ahead and we will try and reach the final with all our strength.

"Every game should be confronted with maximum concentration and I am always happy to do my best."

Nedved is likely to start for his side when BATE Borisov visit the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow night.

Juventus last won the competition in 1996 when the final was also held in Rome.

Nedved shuns extension talk
Juve star dismisses talk that he will play on for another season

Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved has dismissed claims that he will play on for another season.

The former Czech Republic international's contract is due to expire at the end of the season with many believing he will call it a day.

The 35-year-old, who signed for the Turin giants in 2001, has hit out at Italian daily Tuttosport.

The midfielder was angry after the paper quoted his wife saying that he may extend his deal for another year but Nedved denies the comments.

"First of all, my wife has not been speaking to anyone about my career and secondly, I have already come to terms with Juventus over my future," he said.

It has been widely tipped that Nedved will join the backroom staff at Juve once he confirms his retirement but the former Lazio man is keen to play down the rumours.

"It depends only on Juventus when they will think it is the right time to announce it," he adds.

Nedved remains an important part of Claudio Ranieri's plans after featuring nine times in the league, scoring three goals with Juve sitting second in the table, six points behind Inter.

Weekend update

Roma - Milan said:
Jankulovski – 5.5: His poor marking on Vucinic led to the Montenegrin opening the scoring, however despite this, he did manage to get forward more often than once to have an impact at various stages of the match.
Juventus - Siena said:
Grygera - 6.5: Troubled by Kharja in the opening 20 minutes or so, but then settled down. His cross almost led to Amauri doubling Juve's lead, while he made a crucial late block on Ghezzal.

Nedved - 7.0: Juve's best player in the first half, when he was full of running, winning the free kick for Del Piero's goal. Not so prominent in the second period.

Jarolim - 6.0: Plenty of quantity from the Czech Republic midfielder, but not too much quality.
