If Italy had not made those basic mistakes in deffence and Materazzi not been really absymal in his attempts to clear the ball, Italy would not have needed those two goals.

Especially Rapaics goal was really pathetic to see, not because the goal was awful, but because Materazzi was just standing there waiting for Rapaic to finish. He should have kicked away the ball the first time Rapaic kicked it into the air. That was some of the worse deffending I have seen by an Italian player ever.

Pietro Vierchowood and Ricardo Ferri could deffend better then that even as 40+ years olds.

Those controversial calls is something I do not even want to talk about, because I know if the players had not made those elementary mistakes in deffence, Italy would never have needed those goals in the first place.
