Signed by Jose Mourinho as a defenisve midfielder, he has now become PORTUGAL's number 1 right back.

After watching his demolition of Schalke I think we need a thread to appreciate Bosingwa as we have threads for Lucho and Quaresma.

A true Portista, may leave for (a little) bigger things at the end of the season, but he will always be one of us.

Porto and Portugal's #1 right back.

Great player. Apart from Alves and Ramos I don't think their is clearly a superior right back in Europe right now... maybe I'm over-rating him but when ever I watch your games he always impresses me.

Looks like he'll be off to Man Utd sadly, one of the last few peices of the jigsaw. Hope you screw them for as much money as you did Real Madrid for Pepe.

Bosingwa will go for 20 M Euros at the minimum, and that's fine by me. A full-back in our league is not worth that much, even though I think Bosingwa's a great player. We will have Fucile at RB and Cech at LB with a couple of new signings.

Yeah must say i have been impressed by Bosingwa this season, he has probably been for me the best RB in Europe this season

Yeah i havnt heard anything about Barcelona either, in fact i have only heard him linked with a move here to England, i would love to see him in the Manchester United jersey next season and i think that it will only be to major club like that he would consider leaving Porto for. :thumbsup:

You've got a chance in getting him. If the rumors of you willing to spend 12 million euros on Rafinha are true, then add about 5-8 million more and Bosingwa is a chance.

He virtually fixes his entire right side by himself, he is what Zambrotta was for Juventus a few years a go when Nedved cut inside because Zambrotta destroyed and owned the entire left side. Bosingwa controls the entire wing.

Damn it, horrible move. I think.

They have Ferreira, Beletti and Ivanovic. I know Bosingwa is better than all of those players comfortably, but I would hate it if there is rotation or anything like that.

Then there is Chelsea's style. I hope to god the rumors of Chelsea trying to play attacking futebol next year are true, because if they try and make Bosingwa a less attacking player they'll ruin him.

I would much rather he joined Manchester United or Liverpool.

Anyway, I hope Bosingwa has a great future at Chelsea. Ricardo Carvalho will definitely make him feel at home.

Anyways, I really like the player and hope he does very well. It was clear this season that he is too good for this league, and I think he'll thrive with the new challenge. He has all the pace and skill needed to succeed in England.

From our standpoint, I wanted more than 20 M Euros but oh well. Now Ricardo Quaresma is the other one left to be sold, and we keep Lucho, Licha, Bruno, etc.
