Unlike Kuqo, Shima is skinny and he fits as Small Forward, but for albanian league he can play as PowerForward also. Loves to dunk :D

ive seen shima play several times even on practise since one of my friends is int he national team and he loves dunking man. alley - ups n shit like that he can do them all. 360 and everything...

He had an offer from Partizan Belgrade refused cause he said we all know what they think of albanians there and i would never play for a serbian team.
He will prolly go to Euroleague.
A very good player with a great personality.....

Can he play in the NBA?
well he is young but nowdays in the NBA all players are young. In my opinion he is good enough to be at least in the bench. There are players in the NBA who don't deserve to be here and Shima is better than many players I see here. I mean look at the Raptors they got this player Rafael Araujo, who has also been in the starting line up, and he doesnt have the smallest idea about basketball. Shima can shoot, drive, dunk etc...
If he works hard enough he might make it who knows..

Lately I've been researching our Basketball team and History...and its pretty bad. I know we have the other sports thread, but I thought this is important enough to stand on its own.

Anyway..when is the next qualifying round? And can someone explain this national Division A Division B stuff..I don't understand FIBA.

Also discuss Nt players or prospective national team players...guys like Anthony Drejaj who plays for St. Louis, Agron Ivezaj, etc..etc..

Basketball in Albania is very poor and not popular, however in Kosova it's really good, or it used to be.

Ex NBA players started to join the teams together with other quality players from USA, Canada Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Macedonia and also the best albanian players from balkan.

It did actually go as far that the refferes were foreigners,,,

B-ball was so popular that half of the audience couldn't get in, even though they broadcasted it free on TV.

This 2 last seasons has started to be poorer, specially this year.
The investments doesn't invest when they know it's useless cuz Kosova is not a FIBA member,

Unfortunate....What about possible nt players like Agron Ivezaj..or nt players like Arvin Kottri...are they any good? We also have somone in the Serie B..Scavolini, or smthing like that. But most our players are in the 18-21 age range...maybe some of them can develop?

First of all Ivezaj has change his name and is a greek nowdays.

Then I don't know why you always think players abroad are better.

Listen to me.. we had players that used to play in NBA.

I mean **** Serie B and greek league when we have Kosova Superleague.

Hmm...That was my perception...whoever can get results should be put on the court. But foreign leagues are, undeniably, better.

yeah he left tirana :(......that pissed me off man because he was one of the guys born there. Ekrand Karaj too...the old days are gone...But shima is so much better compared to high school. Even though he is skinny he is so strong and powerful...He destroys the rym.
