Arsenal are close to completing the signing of 16-year-old wonderkid Vlad Dragomir after he posed for pictures with chief negotiator Dick Law on Wednesday.
The midfielder, who arrives from ACS Poli Timisoara, will pen a three-year deal at the Emirates.
The Romania Under 16 captain had also been closely monitored by Inter Milan and Monaco, but the Gunners have pipped them to the line to secure his signature.

It is believed Dragomir, who turned 16 on April 24, found the Gunners the most attractive proposition as they are renowned for giving young players the platform to showcase their talent in the first team.
Timisoara are expected to receive a fee in the region of £100,000 in compensation for Dragomir, who has been closely monitored by Arsene Wenger's side for the last year, according to his agent Catalin Sarmasan.
He told Prosport: ‘I proposed Vlad to Arsenal a year and a half ago, during which they have monitored him closely since.
‘In my opinion, Vlad is one of the most talented players in Europe at the present time.’

If true then this is exactly why we will never win a major trophy with Wenger again. It was obvious we needed a world class striker in the summer, it was obvious in the first three months of the season when Giroud was his usual inconsistent self and Walcott got injured, yet all of a sudden Giroud scores some important goals to lift us out of a crappy position we may have not been in with a world class striker in the first place, and there goes Wenger with his usual BS.

Now, with everyone in the premier league looking like trash, and the title clearly up for grabs, Wenger is really thinking of dismissing the obvious idea from not more than a month ago that we need some reinforcements?

You NEVER freaking learn Wenger. Giroud has had more than enough chances to prove he was the forward we needed, and he did not live up to it. Now, instead of doing the smart thing and looking to sell Giroud when his stock has gone up, and buy Benzema now that his stock has gone way down (for non footballing reasons at that, i.e. Suarez)... Wenger goes back to his usual loyalty BS and stands bya player who has only recently shown up for a few matches.

Man City will be the title winners come May if Wenger doesn't re-inforce correctly in January.

After witnessing years of chasing with no result, I think I'm no longer supporter of idea of the club signing Benzema. Besides, like Jeff said, the guy is a prick.

I'm more concerned of our DM situation. We are currently depending on Flamini on that position and Coquelin is still 3 months absent. Not sure we can cope against Barcelona or other competition if we lose Flamini to injury too.

It's not. Looked good for Basel, but doubt he will improve us straightway. Big step from the Swiss league. Typical Wenger signing under the radar, could become another Koscielny or another Bischoff. Meh.

At least he is making an effort to improve the squad.
