Tenerife seem on the verge of selling Pier to Montpellier in France but his future depends on Sporting Gijón who loaned the player to the island club to help them recover from debts totalling 300 million pesatas (£1.1 million).

Gijón have arranged Pier's transfer and it seems likely that he will leave for Montpellier who are willing to stump up 500 million pesetas (£1.88 million) for the player.

Meanwhile Tenerife could secure two deals this week, one for Pablo Ariel Peace who is on the verge of a move to Naples and the other of Dani who has interested various First and Second Division sides.

Tenerife have been looking to balance their books with alot of wheeling and dealing this summer although it seems they have got themselves back on course and could start to think about strengthening their own side in the near future.

If Tenerife would have kept Redondo, this would not be the situation. It must be the clubs biggest mistake EVER. But I understand that Peseta speaks....
Doesnt anyone agree on that if tenerife could have keot a player lik eRedondo for JUST ONE MORE SEASON it could have made a BIG diffrence? Can someone come up with any good examples of what i mean?
