Well there's a macth Vs Paraguay at Råsunda tonight, im surprised no one has made a match thread yet. Anyway the match will star 19.00 cet. so get rady for a entertaining match, i hardly watch sweden in training matches cause most teams they play are boring and mostly of the times sweden play like crap but in this occasion the wc is approaching and Paraguay got Ceseare as the coach plus some great guys like Chilavert, Santa Cruz, Ayala, Gamarra and Arce. It will be a great game... match reports will come later.

I only saw the 2nd half, and I think Sweden played pretty well. But I guess that was coz Para wanted to defend their lead and only played counter attacks. Sweden had som good chances IMO, Alex had couple of chances wideopen, but it was either right on Chilavert or too weak
And then Zlatans heel kick that went just beside the far post :sigh:
All I saw of Allbäck was his attempt for a bicecleta (dunno the spelling).
IMO Zlatan should be in the starting eleven instead of Allbäck. Zlatan has proven a lot better in the short intervalls he has been allowed to play for the NT lately. Zlatan also picks up balls in the middle of the field and has some good playmaking skills.
Only saw 10 minuters of Farnerud but it was impressing if you ask me. I think he should be given atleast one half against Japan to prove what he can contribute with.
Daniel Andersson...what can I say...whatever that made him a pro in Italy simply doesn't work in our NT :(
But his big bro Patrik was VERY impressive, if you keep in mind that he just recently came back from a long term injury. So atleast that was a comfort, plus that we didn't get any more injuries :)

And if we keep in mind that Anders Svensson, who'd prolly scored those chances Alex missed and Freddie, who'd give a totally new dimension to our midfield.

So from what I saw in the 2nd half, if we play like that and SCORE on our chances, we should be able to do a good performance against Japan :hopefull:

Dont know what to do if Alexanderssson get to start again:rolleyes: , Farnerud and M.Svensson is to be prefered.
Farnerud was good, Zlatan was the best on the pitch actually:) , he seems really motivated when playing in the nt.
Bwha laughed like hell when he made that tackle bending his long legs around a Paraguay player. In the current form he should evenb start infront of either Allbäck or Larsson.
What the hell is reading their ****ing book for 10 minutes going to any good:rolleyes: (Farnerud had to do it before getting into the game) once again laughable...

He would have scored if he hadn't tried to make someting big out of it :D... but just some minutes after that he showed his heel kicks can be useful.

For a moment I thought it was a para-player in wrong shirt, you don't see those thing by swedish players, never in a NT-game. It was a cool try anyway!

So from what I saw in the 2nd half, if we play like that and SCORE on our chances, we should be able to do a good performance against Japan
Cracker, be happy you missed the first half, otherwise you wouldn't be this hopeful :D

That was one of the things that showed that Zlatan CAN get the ball, when he wants to. Impressing... I think he has improved lately on this point, more than anything else. He tries to get the ball more than before.

To be honest I haven´t watched the second half yet, closely. So I will just comment on the things I have seen, and very shortly because it´s late. :D

Now, who was Mjällby marking on the first goal? God? Some angels he saw? I mean, he only has one guy to make sure he is infront of and close to, and he can´t even do that. He couldn´t even mark him in the air, where his biggest skills is supposed to be. And this is the player that should mark guys like Owen with using his pace ( :dielaugh: ) and Crespo? The man is useless. Get freaking Mellberg there for crying out loud! :scream:

And Daniel Andersson as an offensive central midfielder! Yay!!!

From what I saw, I was kinda impressed with Lucic. I don´t understand what the fuss about Andreas Andersson were either. Sure he scored the goal and was working a lot, and tried some stuff. But how talentless can anyone be? :D

If it wasn´t for Hedman´s brilliant saves at some points, this would have turned extremely ugly. I´ve said it all the time. Patrick Andersson is our most important player. Now he wasn´t match fit enough and our defence sucks!
And Allbäck was embarassing out there. Never seen him this bad. He should be glad that the Aston Villa scouts probably didn´t see this match. :D

But I can´t say that much. I was having my eyes on a Paraguay player that has signed for Inter, so I wasn´t looking much at the match as a whole. :embarass:

Yeah, for ONCE, Lucic was impressing in the NT :dazed:
How often does that happen :D
Really, he made some good runs down the right flank and served Alexandersson with some good passes :)

As I sit here early in the morning a funny thought struck me...Daniel Andersson never cut it as a midfielder in the NT, neither offensive nor defensive, although he has great defensive skills. Now since his brother Patrik needs a partner since Mellberg is relegated to the right back wing, why not play the Andersson brothers together as central defenders? Anyone think that would work, or am I just too tired

Another thing, Allbäck has been really anonymous the passed two NT games. Dunno much about his form in Herenveen, but it seems he's out of it. At the same time, Zlatan did a huge impression on me, and he also seems to be doing better in Ajax lately, scoring that cup goal for example. I say, put Allbäcks :ass: on the bench and let Zlatan bless us by playing in the starting eleven
Amen folks, I'm hitting the sack, goodnite :sleepy:

I know that
But don't you think it would be interesting to see Andersson in that position? After all he has defensive skills, but in the NT he's not offensive enuff to cut it as a midfielder, offensive nor defensive.
