Well, recent thread starters didn't have much luck so we needed a change..

Udinese away is a fixture we have done well in recently, having won it in 13-14 (Ricky :cuore: scored in that game), 14-15 (che gol Podolski), 15-16 (a 0-4 hammering), 16-17 (Perisic doppietta) and 17-18 (another 0-4 hammering) although last season we drew 0-0 in Udine, in a match where Udinese gk Musso did pretty well as he made saves to deny Lautaro, Nainggolan, De Vrij and Keita Balde.

It goes without saying that we need to win this match after 3 consecutive league draws where we led 1-0 only to concede an equalizer... same fecking scenario. FUCKING FOCUS.

let's hope Conte and the boys learned their lessonS this time, and let's hope for fair refereeing for a change. You know, if an opponent deserves a red card he gets one (Lecce-Inter), or if we deserve a penalty we get it (Inter-Cagliari)?

Gazzetta has this as our probable formation

  • HANDANOVIC
  • SKRINIAR
  • DE VRIJ
  • BASTONI
  • YOUNG
  • BARELLA
  • BROZOVIC
  • VECINO
  • BIRAGHI
  • LUKAKU
  • SANCHEZ
hmmm Brozovic starting could be risky, let's see.

Sanchez returns to his old hunting ground, it's about time he scores for us, been months since he did (Samp away)

Udinese's probable lineup has 2 CFs upfront, Lasagna-Okaka. Tricky.

Forza Inter. Vinci per noi.

I would like to see Eriksen subbed on for Vecino early in the 2nd half unless we're literally 2 or 3-0 up.

But it's probably the most sensible line-up

Sensi's injury problems are just beyond a joke now..... He really seems to be the type of player that manages max 1/2 or 1/3 of a season. The guy is made of glass.

Lasagna is dangerous. Okaka doesn't seem to be as much of a goal threat but the guy can hold the ball and take players on pretty well. Not a duo to take lightly by any means.

Regarding Sensi, it's a real shame. He was huge at the start of the season...such an important part in establishing the midfield and in making our offence unpredictable. He just hasn't been the same post-injuries and the injuries just haven't stopped. I'm guessing Barça's interest in him is on hold.

You have to be careful when reheating it for sure.

Let's go Marlo and Alexis.

I prefer that, Brozovic should be eased in not rushed. May be 20 minutes in Udine or so.

Another match without a clean sheet for our defence it seems :(

Lasagna has scored a couple against us before. One for Carpi in 15-16 and one for Udinese in 17-18, both in Milano. And we dropped points in both matches.

Still can't believe that Sensi has basically so far only been fit for about 7 weeks out of the 20-odd weeks of the 2019/20 season so far.

Seriously, who was the last player to be this injury prone? I guess Vrsaljko.

Sensi is surely now in danger of not being signed in the summer.

His fitness is just appalling

Rumours now (GDS) that Conte might start Brozo after all......

Seems rushed to me, as Ahmed said.

Although with Vecino-Barella-Eriksen there is no natural regista. Barella would have to play the position.

Juve got 2 pens against Fiorentina but weirdly they were actually both fine.

2nd a bit harsh, but would want it given to us.

Upshot of that, is that Juve played like garbage but still won 3-0. They will absolutely bloody walk this championship IMO. Sooner or later they will start playing well and destroy teams.

Meanwhile, we have Udinese, Milan and in the not-so-distant future Lazio and Juve away. LOL.

Serie A summed up:
70045

Cagliari defender obstructus Young, nothing given. Inter were 1-0 up at the time.

Fiorentina defender does the same foul a week later, penalty to juve

Joke of a corrupt league. Conte won't be allowed to win it at Inter.

True. Didn't actually think of that....

Although the foul on Bentancur was more of a directed elbow to the upper chest.

Young's was a body check, although a fairly violent one

Young's incident looked worse, imo. It was an obvious body check and the defender was looking at the player first. In this case, it looked more like shielding the ball.

I don't think you'd see the Bentancur pen given in the EPL 9 times out of 10. I do think it would be given a bit more often in Serie A...certain teams having higher chances.

The contact on Young was indeed bigger.

Anyhow, we won't be allowed to win the title due to the beef Agnelli has with Marotta and Conte but it's a good round as Roma and Atalanta dropped points, we have a decent gap over both so at least we won't struggle to finish 4th this season.

Coppa and EL should be prioritized over Serie A which is highly unrealistic. juve have resources other than footballers to count on when they need to, while we keep getting calls against us. We should have 6 points more but the refereeing had other ideas.

Samir injured so Padelli gets a rare start in goal. His first since Benevento in Coppa last season iirc.

INTER (3-5-2): 27 Padelli; 37 Skriniar, 6 de Vrij, 95 Bastoni; 11 Moses, 8 Vecino, 23 Barella, 24 Eriksen, 15 Young; 9 Lukaku, 30 Esposito.

Substitutes: 1 Handanovic, 35 Stankovic, 2 Godin, 7 Sanchez, 13 Ranocchia, 18 Asamoah, 32 Agoumé, 33 D'Ambrosio, 34 Biraghi, 77 Brozovic, 87 Candreva.

---

4 ex EPL players starting: Moses, Young, Eriksen and Lukaku.

Samir on the bench is a good sign though, means it's a minor thing.

Young Stankovic on bench as Berni is suspended for protesting against the corrupt ref from Turin who robbed us against Cagliari

Esposito preferred over Alexis.

Sensi, Gagliardini and Valero not even on the bench. Bad situation for Conte that 3 cms aren't available for selection. Hopefully they recover soon. Games coming thick and fast.

Quite a lot of new/unusual names in the starting 11. Hopeful it doesn't cause any issues.
