I read that Faggiano said that 25 million is needed to redeem him, which will be hard for the current us. He will try to negotiate but I guess we must not get our hopes up. Mariusz Stepinski of Chievo is a viable alternative IMO, still young with relatively productive season.
interesting about Inglese - apparently we had a obligatory redemption clause in case of salvation, but Lizhang & co removed it and Napoli raised his transfer value
Sala, stepinski and other average serie A players are rumored to Parma. Which means that faggiano is CLEARLY broadening our squad. Instead of betting on inglese and 3 shitty players, he's betting on 5-6 average Serie A players. If we get stepinski, Sala and maybe iturbe + 3 new midfield players (with Stulac, rigoni, Dezi gone) then we will be decent.
Bruno Alves can stay for another season. Gazzola and Gobbi needs to run. Sadly Biabany too ?? damn, bia what the hell happened.. ???
I agree, it's a good strategy really aiming to increase the overall quality to average first. Consolidate our position, find some diamonds in the rough if possible, and slowly but surely increase the quality of the squad.
And we are chasing Brugman again, will Stulac or Scozzarella be gone if that's the case?
all news about this only come from one source, so i think it's just a rumor just like every other rumor is. Objectively, I don't think he would return to us
Some interesting development around the last few days:
- in addition to the aforementioned Ciano and Dermaku, we are also close to Vincent Laurini of Fiorentina
- Sepe and Grassi are almost assuredly coming back, possibly with Rog and Ounas
- We are still trying for Inglese or Stepinski
I am not convinced. This guy barely starts in Pescara in serie B... What does he has to offer in serie A?
Why not look at Chievo, Frosinone and Empolis players and rob them of their midfield. Escpecially Empolis. They did not deserve to go down , they were just unlucky with Beppe Iachini. Had they not fired andreazzoli, they wouldve been a mid-table team without a doubt. Quality team.
5 million for a Primavera player? This is why I hate Italy. It's always shady backroom deals that doesn't make sense. The only sensible reason for parma to buy him is for the fact he's a homegrown parma youth player who can be included in the squad without stealing someone else's place. And isn't 19 a bit too old for a Primavera player? Why hasn't he been loaned out like pinamonti? I mean that old, and no professional level experience.
That's a lot of money & we've been chasing this guy since last season. Though there is a buy back clause, so that hefty price tag might be due to creative accounting.
On the technical side, i dont know him very much. He was once talented, i guess. Also, he once got suspended by Bordeaux last season, that could be a worry.
